Default 67 chevelle 5.3 swap edelbrock intake questions

I was considering using the edelbrock pro flo intake but I cant find a spec for how tall it is compared to the stock truck intake. Does anyone know if it will fit under the stock hood?
Thanks
Jason

I think Edelbrock lists the dimensions in the catalog. I recall that it only fits a Camaro with the SS hood. I may be wrong about this, I have only sold a couple of them, but it should give you an idea of clearance. The throttle body does stick forward quite a ways.

SpeedInc used it on a build of theirs on a 70? chevelle.. i plan on using it on my 72... looks like theres alot of room as the truck intake is pretty large.

The truck intake fit under my stock Chevelle hood with an inch to spare. I've seen the Edelbrock intake on a few cars with stock hoods, it looks shorter than the truck but the TB is forward some and points down a little bit. I'm thinking of saving for the Holley HiRam intake.

I wonder if it will clear the stock truck accesories? That was going to be my next question for edelbrock. I found the diminsions of the intake it looks like it is 10.2" from the bottom of the mounting flange to the highest spot on the front where the TB mounts. If I have to change my accesory locations I will not go this route for now. I plan on measuring my truck intake tonight and see what the difference is. I will post the results. I looked at the holley website also and their intake was taller on their spec sheet then this one and longer.

Found this pic

On a side note the TBSS/NNBS intakes are just a hair taller than the truck intakes, flow better, has a 90mm tb opening and make more power than the truck intakes as well. They can be had for $75-250 depending on what all it comes with. Its the option i went with on my build.

looking at that pic it looks like it is the same height and the throttle body is located a little higher so it will clear the stock accesories. thanks
Also Typhoon is that your car do you have a build thread on it? What mounts did you use for your car if its yours?
