Looking for Mustang swap results with EFI
I've read until my eyes run together, but having trouble finding what I'm looking for. I can find lots of fox bodies getting good results with simple solid combos of carb, intake, cam, MSD 6010, 150 shot, and maybe some head milling.
What I'm wanting to see is the results from a simple setup like those except running EFI. Basically stock motor, with aftermarket cam, LS1/LS6 intake, heads milled (or not), with the same small shot of nitrous. Those seem to be harder to find.

Im doin a turbo fox rite now but my brother and I built a simple s10 with a cam only lq4 23x-24x duration,Vic Jr,proform 850,Msd, 4k stall and 3.73s it was 27xx pounds. No spray as he's turboing it now. My cam only ls1 t/a with 150 hit of spray would honesty probably.not pull on it. It was crazy lil truck for how simple it was. Oh by the way it would blow the tires off at 60mph like Nutn . Hope it helps you in your quiestion . It's hard to find simple cheap builds on here. The simplest would be make a stand alone harness for efi and make your stock gauges work (cheapest) or aftermarket gauges

There have been a couple of builds like mine but like you said most don't post up results. Either they keep to the street or never really finish it. There is one guy local to me that went 11.43 @ 121 with an LS1 engine, ported heads, mild cam, headers, ls6 intake with factory EFI and HP tuners.

89gt stock lq4/stockls3 heads/stock l92 intake/mild cam 6 spd.
45x whp and 42x wtrq.
Spins third gear like first gear. From second at like 50 it will fry them and spin third till like 80. Thats on new 275 drag radials. It is cold as **** here tho so thats not helping. No track times

Sub'n for more results...
Planning a pretty simple build like this myself. Stock 6.0 lq4 w/ 317s in a 90 fox coupe. Planning to stay completely stock down to the exhaust manifolds and run a 2 1/2 x pipe and ls6 intake. Other then that just a stall and 150 wet shot so I'm curious where that would put me

figure out what kind of power people are seeing from their combos, relate it to 1/4 mile times based on weight and power.
I found this link a long while back...found it fun to play with... seems to be in the ball park assuming your suspension is set up correctly
http://vexer.com/automotive-tools/1-...MPH-calculator
the key with any setup, is the suspension...
I would be worried less about the motor specifics and more interested in the suspension setup.
if you cant plant the power, then it doesnt matter what motor combo is in it.
not only that, but transmission plays a big part too....
is it a t56? is it a th400?, is it a gllide?... all big differences in ET for the exact same engine combo
be worried less about the engine, start looking at the suspension needed to go fast as the stock rear and suspension doesnt really go very fast... poor Instant center, poor weight transfer, poor anti-squat.

there is a much simpler solution....

A friend of mine locally running that exact setup with a LS1 (5.7) motor, heads milled, cam, intake, carb, MSD 6010, and a TH350 w/stall. Runs 10.7x on motor and 9.8x on a 150 shot. May not be a 8 second car but plenty fast for most.
