I run the Vette accessories, so perhaps this would no be an issue if I choose and LS3 Vette water pump.

If you notice the upper outlet on the ls7 pump is on the passenger side much like the ls1 pump but the ls3 is on the driver side also keep that in mind with whatever radiator you are going to run and hose fitment

Great build.

So what is your routine with the E85, does it hold up okay if you don't drive the car for a few weeks?

No routine. I put the car up for the winter and drain the tank. I let it sit all through the racing season in the car. Don’t treat it any different than gaoline. Sat for many weeks at a time with no issues.

Only problem I have is finding fuel with a good ethanol content. It was all 70% or less last year in my area.

It's not that bad if you're running 8s.

Love the build and seems as if it was done on a very low budget. Done right congrats on the 1/4 mile times.

Thanks.

This was my first LS motor. I'd have done alot differently knowing what I know now. If I don't count the spare 4.8 I bought and factor in the parts I sold. It cost me roughly $1200 bucks to get all setup with the new motor. Big chunk of that was the cam. ($375) Hoping I can reuse it if (when) i blow this motor.

If I can run 8's all year for under a grand in the off season, I'll be thrilled.

Engine/trans is in. Still waiting on backordered injectors. Threw in the OEM injectors to try and fire the motor with no luck.

Can't seem to get it to fire with the new gen 4 Crank/cam wheels. AEM sent me a tune with the "correct" crank/cam sensor settings for a gen4 motor. I think they are wrong. I got to to backfire and cough/spit a bit but that it. Farted with it all weekend and I give up.

Think I'll just order the cam/crank signal converter ($250) and be done with it.

Not much other visual progress.

New water gauge installed.
Trans is overhauled. Completely installed, wired, filled etc.
Turbo/hotside all bolted up.
Cheapo paper tractor Fuel filter split, looks great after a year of E85.
New SFI seat belt installed
Line lock installed

$17 shipped water gauge... it says "Dragon" on it. What more could you want?

$100 shipped camloc SFI belts from Cipher racing.

Line lock installed. Don't like the janky activation button location, but it will do for now.

$12 tractor supply spin-on filter after a year in E85.

if your thinking about oredering the lingenfelter box dont. my buddy went through 3 of them in less than 6 months. i know it sucks but the best thing to do is pull the crank and change the reluctor.

Too late ordered it in a fit of rage. We'll see, Can't imagine why they would fail like that.

Cruised the neighbor hood today dialing in the new 160lb racetronix injectors. Made 10lbs and nothing fell off. No leaks or anything. Takes me awhile to dial in the AEM but I hope to have it track ready by this weekend.

Cam/crank signal converter box installed.

It's a worker. Though I occasionally get RPM blips in the 6k range when cranking and it kicks my starter back. Already destroyed one starter. I'll ahve to look into it more. All green lights from the box with no errors. No Sync errors on the AEM. Makes no sense to me. Once it's started everything is great.

I had most of the meth inj parts laying around. Tank was my big purchase. 1 gallon AEM tank on Amazon for $65 shipped. Has low level sensor and lower bung was already installed. Using an 14gph nozzle behind the TB and a 2gph pre-turbo.

My cluster of an engine bay.

shameless plug of the new corvette.

Or maybe your at an age where all your buds are hitting a midlife crisis? No comment there for me!

Fixed the start kick back issue. Bumped dwell time up in the lower rpm's and dropped cranking advance a ton. Seemed to do the trick.

Played with idle a bit. Pretty happy with the 160lb racetronix injectors. Smooth 14ish AFR at 850 RPM. 0% DC

May want to turn the speakers down, sound pickup on the cell phone is horrible.

Got these new injectors all dialed in. Cruise and idle is great. Cold starts still give the occasional kick back. I tried as much as 10* of retard while cranking and it got no better.

The LS7 pump an/or blocking the bypass and running no thermo seems to have helped the cooling system considerably. Cruising around at 154* with the fan on low. (70's ambient) Sure that will change when the warm weather gets here, but it never ran this cool before.

12lbs is as low as I can get the boost. Even that frys the tires above 5500rpm in hi gear. Feels pretty damn good on lowish boost! First track day is tomorrow, I'm sure it will be crazy crowded so I won't much tuning done.

On a side note the 3 thin washers I installed on oil pressure relief were too much. Plan to do an oil change tonight and try some thinner oil. Cruise pressure warm is 60. 80+ WOT. (gauge only goes to 80).

So you're just gonna run it at the 12lbs. for a soft beginning baseline and then continue to tune as you turn up the volume throughout the season ???
I would imagine you're predicting easy mid 9s to start.....
