Default Motormount ASSISTANCE PLEASE!!!

I have a set of Camaro Motormounts and am curious if these are the correct frame mounts for my installaion. A 5.3 into a 66 Buick Lesabre. As you can see in the pics one mount is lower/higher than the other. Is this correct? The original frame mounts on my Buick are parrell to each other in size and spacing, so I need to know if this matters or not?

Looks like the mounts need to go back some. How close is the motor to the firewall? Also are you using the Dirty Dingo slider mounts? I guess you are prepared to drill new holes for the new motor mounts?

Okay, I went and took a picture of the mount I will be using. I think this is for a later A-body such as a 1968 Chevelle. This is the tall and narrow version. It appears to be different than yours and may give you what you are looking for. Here is the picture.

I can't tell from that angle, but I am using the slider from dirty dingo. I believe the Buick frame bay is narrower than chevrolet. I'm in the process of connecting the tranny to the motor to get a real feel of what its going to look like. There was a lot of space between the engine and the firewall, didn't measure. It just didnt look right.

The conversions I have seen seem to have the back of the motor maybe an inch away from the firewall on average. If you can move the motor back that might help with your mount situation. See how it looks with the tranny installed. Don't forget to put on your headers to see how they fit.

Those look a lot like the chevelle frame mounts that I used on my 67 Cutlass. I know those worked perfectly but that's an a body... Not sure bout the lesabre.
