Some info on my car 1993 Mustang GT, going to be running a 80+mm turbo LQ4, 4l80e.. power steering, A/C. AJE tubular K member and a arms. This is a street car that will go down the track just for fun. Then get kicked off the track for not having proper cage. Aiming for 900-1000hp.

I got UPR rear coilover kit with adjustable strange shocks. (off a mustang site) and it came with 175# 10" springs

I got QA1 adjustable struts (threaded) with out springs.

Also got the TeamZ street beast rear suspension kit with anti roll bar

So now i was thinking 175# spring up front and 150# for rear but i got the rear with 175# spring so dont know if i should try 175# front and back or what?

Just curious what yas think.

I've got 400# Aldan coilovers on the front of my Mav, it's perfect with the aluminum block. Don't know how a coilover spring equates to strut springs, but 175# seems way to light...

no not for mustangs thats about the area for spring rates people run, my old car ran a 150 in front, and factory 4 cyl springs in rear. 400lb on a mustang would be for like autocross. I was hoping someone might have some insight or ill just wing it and if it doesnt wokr just have to get another set of springs

i dont see why the 5.0 spring wouldnt work ... get one from an early fox
that should work perfect .
what are you worried about ...weight? or weight transfer?

Not sure on the back spring but for the front I'd use 175's. Mine is a 94 and is pretty light, no accessories, no turbo and 150's were bottoming out for me.

Im running coil overs front and rear so i need aftermarket springs..
I want it to be streetable but if i go to track be able to hook

175 12in spring would be a nice street/strip rate front.

thats whats been recommended to me twice now for 2 mustangs ive had

Unless your "strut" spring rates are figured differently than a standard "coilover" shock, you won't like that 175# at all. In fact, Aldan doesn't show anything lower than 200# for the front:

I see what they are saying but ive been building mustangs for quite a few years and never heard anyone running very heavy spring rates. Right now my car has factory position springs that are rated around the 300lb area and wow its like driving a low rider.
