Started to connect everything to the T56 transmission this evening and noticed the reverse lock out sensor was broken at the connector. Would anyone have one hanging around that is not using the reverse lock out on a T56 trans? Just a small set back for now.

I found a reverse lockout solenoid and waiting for it to arrive in the mail. (Thanks Avery)
I worked on the Vintage Air installation and made some progress, here is a couple of pics. I was told the Vintage Air System was easy to install, not true.

Does anyone know if I will have to change the stock suspension once the swap is complete? I original had the stock 350 SB in the car previous and I know the new ls1 weighs less but will the front end sit a lot higher or just minimum change in hight?

I know I might be about the only one that post to my tread but it helps me keep a time line of progress. I have not posted any new info lately, that is because I am at with family , work or in garage. I finally got to turn over the engine last week and I tried to start the car but a few minutes after the fuel pump kicked on I had a major fuel leak from the fuel rail. It must have been bumped during the install because it was cracked. I have a new one on order and should bee here on Tuesday. Problem # 2: the adapter for the temperature sensor broke and was leaking antifreeze, I was glad to find out it was not the head being striped out. Problem # 3: the brand new slave cylinder I purchase is leaking inside the bell housing so today I am pulling the transmission to replace the slave cylinder.
Afeww steps back but by the end of next week it will be attempt 2 to start the Chevelle. I hope it goes better next week.

I would wait until you are all done with the swap and see where it sits. That is what I am going to do with mine. A lot of us are following along and watching your build.

Yeah, wait and see. Drop springs often end up as high or higher than old saggy springs anyway which surprises some people. That being said, I'd replace all the old stuff anyway once you have time but that is just me and it certainly isn't a necessity. Whoever told you the vintage air was easy to install was either a liar or a salesman. Least fun I've ever had in my life. Best of luck to you.

if it sits too high , I doubt it will , you can cut one coil from the front springs that will drop it around 2 inches , cut from the top side with a grinding wheel exactly one coil , they are indexed in the top a arm and if you cut with acedaline it will take the temper out of the spring

The weight differential is not that significant to make any major ride height change. I went a bit different route and made a wholesale change to QA1 coilovers all around. This was the single biggest improvement to ride and handling I have ever made to the car. The tunability allows you to dial the ride, stance and handling to a given situation.

As I have said before I suck at photo documentation. Right now the car is in storage 300 miles away. I plan to bring it here in late March. I will take a bunch of pictures then. Right now sitting static the top of the wheel arch is right level with the tire in the rear and just above the tire in front making the chassis sit parallel with the ground. I don't like the engineering of most of the rear coil over kits on the market, so I designed and built my own based on the Global West design, just not so elaborate.

Beautiful car.
For AC fittings the compressor should be a Sanden unit. The condensor looks to a stock style GM end (i believe captured oring).
I deal with NAPA at work. Ask to look through their AC catalog. It has nice pics and descriptions.
If you need help with them let me know. I have the catalog at work.

Here is a couple of pictures of how the car sits with all fluids in all i need to put on with any weight is the hood and seats. So it looks like the front will have to be lowered. I sat on the front to see how much it a difference my weight would make and 180lbs don,t affect it much.
