LQ4 Dodge Ram!!!
Did some serious wiring today with the_merv.
Broke down and isolated the necessities of both, mopar & gm harnesses, and began to splice and tidy up everything.
Got the Camaro fusebox wiring down to 1 plug with all the needed power wiring.
Not so much a rats nest anymore.
Mounted the Camaro fusebox under the stock battery location so it will tidy up the engine bay when its all assembled.
I will finish taping up and looming the excess wiring soon.

This Cluster is from the 2002 Fbody so it's a Digital Cluster, and has to be wired as such. Well upon doing some research in the past I was under the impression that the BCM had to be used to make the Cluster work right. After spending about an hour dissecting the body Harness from the Camaro I came to ZERO wires that come from the PCM to the BCM that were signal wires. I came across the normal Class 2 Serial Data Wire that was joined in a junction coming from the PCM, going to the DLC, BCM, Airbag Module, and the Gauge Cluster. We decided to go online and try to find the Schematic of the BCM, and did find it. After breaking that down there was nothing in the BCM at all that is essential to the function of the Gauges.
To properly wire these Gauges, from what I can tell so far, is to run the S. Data wire from the PCM to the DLC and the Gauges.
Now one other interesting find was PCM RED 10, Engine Speed Output. I stumbled across a thread here on LS1Tech where a guy was trying to chase this down and him as well as several others had pulled their cars apart looking for this wire. With having the body and engine harnesses completely broken down I was able to find it.
That wire runs directly to the Cruise Control Module, that's it. Gauge Cluster picks up Tach Signal, Water Temp, Voltage, and Fuel Level through the Class 2 Serial Data wire.
So far the wiring for these Digital Gauges seems easier than the analog ones.

Heres todays progress.
Got the motor pulled.
Started breaking down the front suspension.
I have new poly bushings coming and as soon as i get the ball joints pressed out the control arms will be dropped off at the powder coater to get done in red.
I am also going to have my battery tray done in black.
The spindles will be replaced with drilled and slotted. It sucks there isn't a brake conversion or upgrade. So every little bit will help.

Ls1 S-10 engine mounts. All I need it 2 pieces of channel steel and and LSx motor is a direct bolt in to a dodge!
Decided to ditch the side mount 20 gallon fuel tank for a 20 gallon fuel cell.
I will mount it under the bed behind the rear axle. Im saving weight by going to the fuel cell and im moving 210lbs back for traction.
