The truck is running pretty good. Did the first oil change and that turned out well.
Putting some miles on the motor. Its crazy to feel how much more powerful this motor is compared to my old dodge motor. We havnt even touched driving tunes or wot at all.
Heres a quick walk around vid. Only one issue thus far. My oil cooler swivel fittings leak oil on the pressure side which is annoying so Ill have to address that soon.

I'm looking into doing this on my 87 W150 truck. Need to steal your engine mounts.

Sit Rep: Its been a while since I posted anything. The truck is running like a raped ape other than an odd random misfire I'm trying to figure out. So far anything under 50mph is just wheel spin when I roll into it. The truck is not insanely quick as some of the other vehicles on here but it's quick enough to be fun. I suspect mid to low 12's if I can get it to hook. Once I get this misfire dealt with it will be finished dyno tuned then off to the track with some drag radials.

After a year I finally get the truck to the track. I'm pretty impressed so far.

Finally got the truck strapped to the dyno. Made a few improvements. Ditched my original engine mounts for some ls swap weld in poly mounts. Had a bad tps and my fuel filter was going out. Fixed all that and let it have it. I noticed I need to fix some pictures on here since my links somehow got broken so I'll fix that soon. I really like how the cam and tbss intake match pretty well and give me a dang good torque curve. Shift points are now set to 6500. I'm hoping with a taller radial and a few hundred more rpm it will see 11s.

That's some really nice numbers. What was your final specs - compression ratio, engine size, cam etc?

I believe my static comp is 12.2:1 with my tsp stage 2.5 5.3 heads. 28 degrees of timing.

Not sure what my drive train loss with a 70" driveshaft is, drum brakes, and heavy wheels.

Thought I would bring this thread back from the dead just to tell you good job on your swap! I have a buddy with an 89 D100 and we are swapping a 525 hp connect and cruise into it. We are currently in the home stretch and finishing up some wiring on it, I was wondering if I could pick your brain on the mating of the LS harness and factory bulkhead harness?
