We don't have a HP goal yet. We plan to just get it running and have the lowest amount of boost we can get (0 to 3 lbs). After we hit the dyno tons of times to tune it, we'll go from there.

This is mainly a test to prepare us to graduate to LS7s for both V4s and the 12s

And nothing is wasted. The cut off parts make the V-4.

Pardon me if this has been asked already, but roughly how much does this engine weigh when fully dressed out? My Jag V12 weighs 750 and it only has a displacement of 5.3 liters (326 cu)

We figured out how to section two stock cranks/cams and create our own firing order, and we cut out about 12 grand in crank/cam creation costs.

Got any pics of the P-51 build ??

On like page 3..."the last LS12 we built weighed in at 442 pounds."

Makes sense that it isn't much more weight...If a block weighs around 75lbs the v12 block probably weighs 100-105 since you are only adding more center area. Same with crank...only adding more 'center area'...

I am working on a cheaper solution for EFI with this combo, have come up with something already that will work.
There is probably only one such plane in Norway with an engine built by a guy from Seatle area. Norway is rather small with a pop of 5 million people, so unlikely to be another with exactly that spec and unknown to the people tinkering with suchlike. I am sorry to say it leaks everywhere and is considered scrap. To be replaced with another engine.

What kind of leak(s)?

That seems like a very small issue on the first of 2 engines built. Should be easy to fix. GMS works great for sealing an oil pan or timing covers. Although the stock front/rear cover seals can be used. The head gasket would be the hardest but still not too hard. Just custom.

When the motor left Seattle it was incomplete as per request to save money. We sent it with an instruction list of things that needed to be done to complete the build. If it leaks, he never did those.

If it's scrap tell him to send it back, i'll gladly take it.

It's a fine piece of work.
