All I can say is this:
Get the V4 built and done and have dyno numbers run on it. Then send ONE to GM and tell them its the prototype for the next series of FWD cars. Then send them ONE a week later and have a single turbo setup attached and dyno numbers on that.
I would bet the little V4, 9.5:1 comp, mild cam, and single 60-65 mm turbo would EASILY push past the 250-300HP mark.
Now imagine that dinky little motor getting 28+ MPG attached to the 6 speed auto, yet having enough oomph to make the V6 mustang cry... LOL.
And to think that for the longest time I tried and tried to get a ford to go fast. Only cure was nitrous and a sawzall. Nevermind that it was a Lincoln....

I'd say focus on the V4 instead. It seems they're building the V12 with the V4 as the byproduct. IMHO, they're doing it backwards. Build the V4s. Way more people would actually buy that. Use those funds to further the V4s and to fund the rare V12 customer. They could actually start making money off the V4s pretty quickly as it would be a solid engine for so many kinds of projects.
Honestly how many of you guys would snag the V4 for various projects? And how many would realistically buy the V12?
As much as I want to see the V12, I'd rather them focus on the smaller, easier V4 and actually show us something.

you couldn't go too big without having an absolute boatload of lag... But that 6 speed automatic would be able to plop down through the gears quick enough to get some kind of spool happening, I am sure.
They even have a paddle shift commander that mounts behind the steering wheel somehow. I saw the advert in one of my car magazines... Cool stuff.

ls based inline 4, 6 or 8 cylinder motors would be cool to see. not a whole lot of use I wouldnt think for the the inlines though, however the fewer the cylinders I think you would have more interest. just a thought

Just read through this whole thread! I have to say Most amazing thing I've ever seen in the building world. I hope all is going well with your monster motor build. Are you guys still thinking of doing the V12 lotto? I'm sure you'd get a lot of hits.

I have a 1969 Fiberfab Valkyrie kit car (GT40 clone)
I have at the moment swapped in an l33 (there is a build page around here somewhere), but the corvair rear diff wont quite handle the power, let alone anymore.
I wish to switch to a rear transaxle out of a corvette, but the combination is about 4-6 inches to long.
The 4 banger version of this, or much better a 6 banger would make this project a very scary reality.
I know a lot of mid engine kit car enthusiasts want to switch to the vette transaxle but in most cases it ends up to long by only a few inches. I think you could sell a lot of these in the 4 or better yet 6 banger versions, Id buy one right now.
