You can get a set of camaro exhaust manifolds for about 50 bucks.
The fit perfectly on our cars.

I'm confused on the windage tray, is it in the pan or bolted to the bottom of the engine? if its bolted to bottom of the engine like I think, why isn't it hitting the crank now?

You can fab up a factory cast pan . What youre talking about would be easier than this one I did . But if you find a good deal on a F Body pan I would go with that.

All LS1 and LS6 intakes are 3 bolt. LS2 and 4th gen are 4 bolt.

Just started on the rear end today, I stole some 3.42 gears out of another one we had laying around and pulled the rear end out of my parts car. (77 camaro) plan on having it powdercoated and slide in a posi. Got a set of head gaskets and bolts from my buddy that works at the dealership.

I can't verify that the F body and truck are the same . Just check the part # with GM if they are the same. You can probably make a truck one work .When I did the fabrication to my truck pan I raised the floor, which then I had to fab the oil pickup because it then hit the bottom of the pan and then the windage tray hit the pickup so I had to trim the windage tray. So if you want to keep it fun quick and easy . Just get a F body pan if know that it works.

Not true. Mine has a corvette batwing pan in it. It was a direct drop in, with the engine bolted to the original th350 in the factory stock location. My lower motor mounts were welded in. Uppers are standard 1" setback conversion mounts. The car is lowered 2" in front. I had to add an oil drain (yellow arrow) because the original (red) would drain oil onto the frame.

Well fed ex tried to deliver my cam today but nobody was home! Their going to try again tommorow. I went ahead and pulled the factory cam out, the cam retaining plate is showing some wear that kind of concerns me. The plate and sprocket both show wear at the point were they contact each other. Not sure if this is normal or not? Will post pics later photobucket is down.

I used a gm muscle car oil pan in my 81 camaro, people say it hangs too low but an inch under the cross member doesn't bother me, I don't jump speed bumps even though it's not even close, I took a picture of the overhang on my build thread...and the ghosh manifolds for like a glove

Wrong, It doesn't hit the crank. It hits the forward part of the F-body oil pan. You can use the truck windage tray if you trim off a few inches toward the front. The pick up tube also bolts onto a different spot. You have to cut a new hole on the windage tray so it will work.
I did all this on mine!
Also if you have a set of adjustable motor mounts or a way to customize your mounts you can lower the engine a little and use the truck intake. You will have to smooth out the top a little. You also have the Cowl hood so it should give you more room.
I went with the Legenfelter intake and it wasn't cheap to convert over. You are looking at an intake, fuel rails, injectors, ls1/2 water pump, and water pump spacers. You can use the truck tensioner but it will have to be trimmed and cut(I reused mine).
You can also use all truck accessories. Now if you want to use the A/C you'll have to notch the sub-frame or buy a top mount kit. If you decide to go that route, you should (in my opinion) go with a Vintage set up as it frees up a lot of room in the engine bay and looks a lot cleaner.. (but thats more money)
I've been looking into the hybrid cars that use electric compressors and may mount mine in the truck and do a custom set up...(Also the rear a/c on suv's have some electric compressors.

Hey wildcamaro, I'm on my phone and I can't pull up your build thread, can you post some pics of the pan installed? If it only hangs 1" lower I'm fine with that.

Adam123, why do you have to use spacers on the pump?

If you look at the Driver side turbo, there is app. 1" between it and the hood when closed. Now above my intake there is a lot of room. And if you look at the turbo to alternator you will notice that the turbo is higher than the alt.
My engine is dropped a bit. but the subframe is still a hair lower than my oil pan.
I also have a 2" spring drop from Eibach

To keep the truck accessories.. the f-body water pump sets back about an inch, maybe less.. You use the spacers to keep the belt lined. I like the spacers as they have a threaded port that comes with a barb to attach your steam ports to.
