Torqued down the rockers today, preload is about 1 3/4 turns. Dummied up the acc just to see how it looked. Still not sure if I'm going with car or truck acc? Best news is I'm picking up an intake tomorrow, going to good guys first and then meeting a guy for the intake. $75 bare, not bad but also not as good as some of the so called $40-$50 intakes sold on here (still haven't seen one). Will post up some pics of the engine with the intake tomorrow.

Im in the market to buy an F body oil pan if anybody has one, preferably in the DFW area. No progress on the motor or car as im out of town working until Friday. My rear diff is ready to be picked up from the powder coat shop so I'll post up some pics of that Friday when I get it. Hopefully I'll get to catch a swap meet this weekend, if not im planning on working on finishing smoothing out the firewall.

I am doing a mustang LS conversion right now. It's pretty much done actually. At any rate if you need a tuner, let me know, my Brother in law is the best in DFW. PM me and I will get you his info. He is also on this site, he has a Turbo 6.0 LSX mustang notchback (Orange and Silver), many will know who I am talking about. Good luck with your conversion, I have had to make lots of parts, been fun, but a lot of work!

Looking for some input on the timing chain, mine has 68k on it, stock. Since I'm not going crazy with my engine, just the cam swap, do I NEED to swap in a LS2 chain and gear set or will the stock stuff suffice? If I do swap it out how difficult is it to remove the crank gear ?

Heres some more pics from today, went ahead and drilled and tapped the 2nd alternator hole and got it mounted. once i got it on i realized that the water pump i have (that i thought was gto pump) is actually a vette pump! GREAT i just sold the vette balancer that i had! But looking at the front of the pump i think i can pull the pulley out enough to get it to line up with the alternator. The intake still needs a couple more coats of paint but i ran out. Oil pumps supposed to show up monday so i can it put on and tie up the front cover and install the balancer.
