Default Gm Type 2 Pump return fitting?

I am putting a lq9 in my 81 trans Am. I am using kwik alt/ps bracket. It requires the use of a remote mounted reservoir. The kwik bracket clocks the power steering pump return inlet right at my steering box. There is not enough room for a straight fitting to hose barb which is what i have now. I need either a 90 degree fitting or possibly a banjo. I cant find anywhere what size or type of fitting that I need for the return side. The return side uses an O-Ring to seal. Its also larger than the 18mm X1.5 O-Ring fitting that is for my steering box.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Nick

Check out the kwik performance website, the accessories page, they sell the fitting. I think it is expensive, but if you cannot find it anywhere else......

I have searched the internet all night (night shift guy). I think, and someone please tell me if im wrong, the size is 20mm x 1.5 (or AN-10) and i can use a ORB port fitting. If someone can comfirm that is the correct thread I have another question. Can I use a banjo bolt for the return side of the pump or are there restriction concerns with banjos? I dont want to starve the pump for fluid but a banjo would work perfect for my situation.

Thanks
Nick

Been looking for the same thing. I called DSE and Dan called their pump supplier and he told him it's not available. He said it was a 13/16 straight thread. I've not had any luck myself. Let me know if you find it please.

So I was mistaken. I thought the port was threaded because i unscrewed a fitting out of it. Turns out the person I bought the pump from put a o-ring in the port and pressed a JIC or metric fitting in. My port doent actually have threads. I talked to wayne today at kwik. He is very helpful. Ordered up all the lines and fittings I need from him.

Thanks
Nick
