Hey Ken,

I just looked back at one of your posts, and am wondering what did you mean with regards to "Also.....depending upon which ECM you are using .......be aware that there is a torque management schedule in a normal ECM that pulls timing from the engine as it starts to make power to save the trans..........." ?

The reason i ask, is that the truck appears slow of the line, once going, if you put your foot down, holly crap it goes, but off the line, it feels a little slow.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks again for your advice, the truck has now been engineered and approved and ive driven it about 50 miles all up so far and really enjoying it, but would enjoy it a little more if it pulled away a bit quicker without as many revs as it currently needs

Thanks
Shaun

Shaun.........That's where a good "Tune" put in by someone that's know's what they are doing comes in.........I had Nickey Chicago blend my system together on their Chassis Dyno.........That part of the build was just as Important as anything else........You shouldn't have any lack of power down low........

Yeah, I agree, there certainly shouldn't be any lack of power down low.

I've got it booked into Walkinshaw (Powertorque Performance Tuning) here in Brisbane for next week. They specialise in HSV (GTS and Maloo) tuning and since the introduction of the LSA engine into the GTS they now have a fair bit of experience.

Can't wait to see what they can do

Also got a transmission expert looking at it early next week, just in case its a tranny issue.

Thanks
Shaun

You need to get some sticky tires for that car.

A little update on the Chevelle........Since completion in May of 2014, we have driven it on two Power Tours (Long Haul).....Did the Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour this year, and put on 14,240 miles in total ...........Along the way, after getting the brake issue corrected, the only other issues were a flat tire,....... a broken tail pipe hanger,......and a slight problem with the plug on the Throttle Position Sensor caused by condensation while cleaning the engine at a quarter car wash (since sealed up and corrected)..........LOL.......These LS engines are the best thing since sliced bread !!!..........But....with all Good things there is an end.........Had to pull the car into the garage and do some Heavy Maintenance to it........Changed the Oil and Filter.........Sheesh !!!!.........And .....after driving the Chevelle for a year and a half.......a new standard for "Drivable" torque has been established.........so.......The Impala will be upgraded and the "New" project will be starting shortly after the Impala is finished...........Stay Tuned.........I found the purse........LOL........

What is your overall impression of the ridetech setup? Comfortable ride? Does it perform as expected when you drive aggressively?

Would you compare it to a 2010ish BMW or more to a 4th gen f body?

The car is right there......The only issue is getting enough caster in the front......Ridetech has inserts that go into the upper arms to help with positioning for more caster.........When I put them in it moved the control arms to a position they hit the upper arm frame mounts.......so....I couldn't get the caster I needed........You would think they would have built the extra caster into the arm.........Just Say'in !!!! Other than that .....It's all good !!!

Wow, my favorite color also on the Chevelle. I may build mine (red 67 chevelle) and sell it off for hopefully a profit haha. Your engine choice is freaking awesome, as is your car choice. Kudos man, good luck. I'm on my phone looking at this and don't have time yet for 40 pages of checking haha. I will check when I get home but are there any videos of it running?

The Nickey Tuned Chevelle is freak'in awsum.........The Edelbrock Fed LS2 has great power also.. But, ......the Chevelle made 570 RWHP and the Impala made 480 RWHP........More weight and less HP........

Headers and a smaller trans (4L70E) Less reciprocating weight........and Hours on the Dyno being tuned at Nickey Chicago......

During the tuning process........Before the final tune got dialed in
