Interested to hear more about your kit. Please PM me with details.
I too am wanting to use a truck engine and already have the cooling thing sorted rom another builder but am interested to hear what improvements you have made. I am north of Dallas and could be in OK in a jiffy.

I work soley by word of mouth, I don't advertise or have a website. I build 1-2 cars at a time. my kit is for 1972-1989 911's and 1990-1994 911's. I can do others but haven't yet. I have been asked about 996's and boxsters and have not done one yet but I do have a machine shop and 30 years of specialty automotive experience.
post script; I have installed lsx motors in trucks, cars, imports, Shelby cobra kit car, 69 Camaro ss, 87 iroc z28, 944 porsche, Ferrari 308 gtb and 72-94 911 porsches

yan, I can do a heater kit for you. your car is a 1989 right? give me a few days/wk depending on how long to get parts here to put together the pieces and then ill build one. ill send you pics once I get there

I do have an 89. What would it cost approximately? Sounds great. I happen to have a skid plate under my oil pan - will it be in the way? I was looking at some tranny coolers in the Speedway catelong and the coolers were pretty deep. I assume this wont bottom out on the ground?
thanks!!!!
thanks!!!!

vss solution when not using a gm trans. 944 cam gear machined to fit inboard cv with gm vss sensor and billet bracket. 944 cam gear has correct tooth count for gm vss signal, thus making it a viable reluctor wheel option.

I saw where someone used a 944 cam sprocket a few years ago for 944/LS1 application (though yours looks better executed). Clever idea. What is the tooth count on that 944 sprocket?
I ended up making my own reluctor to get the right tooth count without re-programming.
Thanks,

this is the heater core we are using on this car. this is a very expensive unit, but a basic one could be used/built as well for optimal cost. the capture box is not on it yet in this pic.

That is very clean. Hope to see it mounted in your car! That appears to be a Spal fan. Is that portion just purchased and then you build a capture box with the air outlets and further mounting brackets? It sure is getting cold up here.
Do you uses a separate water pump for the cooler or just the one for your radiator will suffice?
Do you plumb the inlet of your cooler before the inlet of the main radiator and the outlet of your cooler after the outlet of the main radiator but before the water pump so the water pump sucks the fluid back?

yes yan that is a spal fan, that's all I use. yes its a prebuilt unit for my purpose then I build the capture box with ducting to go to the original Porsche heater ducts with mounting tabs and stainless hardware since its exposed to the elements. one like this would be around 850. but I can build just as effective and a nice unit that works for around 450 with a hayes cooler and spal fan and capture box.
