Cobalt964,

Before cutting your hood, Google "hood vents" and you'll get lots of choices (lots of carbon fibre stuff). I had made my own because just a few years ago there were non, now there's tons of them. Anyway, they are a nice time savings compared to hours of fabricating your own.....but you probably already knew that.

likely not, but never say never lol. its just a ls3 hotcam motor with mild mods. likely around 500-525chp ballpark. in a 2600lb car that should be fast enough. with the gearing we are running it should be a 200+mph car. if not I have a ls7 crate motor that has mods and set in it for more oomph. but that would be later, if ever. we are kinda pushing the limits of a traditional single disc clutch as it is right now. if we go bigger we will have to go double or triple disc clutch, which does not sound fun in a street car.

ok, this is NOT a budget build, or for the faint of heart. I do have a budget build going on another 911 see that thread too.

1993 Porsche 964/911 Carrera c2 coupe 26k miles $15,900.00 in 2008. in todays values its probably a 26-30grand car.
g5052 gearset and g5005 r/p, gt3 lsd, g5005 case, all internals cryoed and rem coated, $10,000.00
ls3 hotcam crate engine all arp bolts, copper head gaskets, mild mods $7800.00
17" twist wheels/Michelin pilot cup tires $2900.00
bilstein nurburgring adjustable coilovers with h/r greens $5000.00
rsa cage $1000.00
monoballs, camber plates, spherical bearings $3500.00
fabrication materials $1000.00
meziere parts $1400.00
custom griffin radiator with spal fans $1200.00

so we are knockin on the 50grand door...

but we do have a bugatti Veyron competitor here hp/weight ratio wise.

Given the base car you chose,I don't expect any of it to be "cheap".

I could boost this car or n2o it. I planned on some kind of power adder from the beginning, hence the copper head gaskets and arp head studs, arp rod bolts, and arp main studs, and fairly reasonable compression 10:1. boost would be limited, but n2o I could likely go 250 fairly safe. with a 150 shot puts me somewhere around 650chp, and with a 250shot puts me somewhere around 750chp.
