I am having some original style Z28 stripes put on the Camaro. Black on silver will look good. I will throw up a couple pictures when I get the camaro back this week.
I got my car back friday night. Here are the pictures. Unfortunately the stencil listed during it in a couple small spots so it is not perfect. Goes with the rest of the car. Someone locally is interested in the car. I don't know what it is worth though, never thought about selling it seriously until good money is brought up. pick up from body shop front pick up from body shop rear
Looks good. I’d keep it. Odds are you’ll never find another clean early 70-73 camaro again without paying big bucks
At the moment I still have it. His wife came and was not pleased with it. No big deal to me. I will consider selling it when I am ready to.
I did a fun video with my sister in-law. She has never driven a corvette before so I got to take her out in this 1977 L48 that is original with 42700 miles on it.
well coming down culver rd today after driving for 30 minutes the transmission just quit. Engine running and sitting in traffic. In drive and acted like i was in neutral. No movement in any gear. Put it in reverse, just revs. Verified the shifter was attached and moving. After the car sat for a few hours waiting for a tow it would move again under its own n power but only for a few minutes where it did the same thing again and won't go. This monster transmission 4L80e has just been problematic since the beginning. Because another shop did warranty on it because they left out the rear speed ring they won't cover anything and i am out of that shops warranty being 3 years ago.
So angry i may just go 6 speed. 3400 miles and it turned to junk.
Well I thought I would post an update. The torque converter died and so did clutch packs from being put together faulty. I keep the Automatic for now; however, if it fails again I WILL BE PUTTING IN A 6 Speed. I plan on using the car this summer for my youtube show I am working on called Tool'n Around. Hoping to get some ladies in classy retro-pinup style for it. Keep some young people in old cars to capture their experience of driving them.
The boys are super excited to be in it, goldilocks and the 1999 trans am now that I have pulled it from storage. I plan on selling the trans am though this summer, so we are enjoying it now.
Enjoy this clip I got of them hearing the LS1 for the first time.
Unfortunately Monster had a decent name at the time 4-5 years ago when I actually bought the transmission. We've been putting some good miles on the Camaro since. I am very excited to share this short with everyone as I have been trying to get ladies and young people into classic cars. Going for classy pin-up.
My wife took the twins out for their first camaro ride. They were very happy and laughing in it. Waiting for Daddy to give them a ride with full throttle.
Amen to that! Very cute pic of very cute kiddos! Let them become gear heads for life! LOL
I think they will be into cars and going fast. In 20 years though, I may be one of the few around with a gasoline engine though. So many electric cars I see around all the time.
My wife needed to remove the front bushes for flowers. So she decided we needed to use the 70 Camaro for it....
My wife and I drove the Camaro at the race track last Friday for Test N Tune. We both ran 12.7 at 111 mph. We both launched around 1500 RPM. Going to try and get a baby sitter for next time. I think with some seat time and harder launches we should be able to get into the low 12s.
I will post up the Go-Pro video of us driving it down the track for everyone when I get the chance.
