I can seem to get one bolt in on either side, but the opposing side is always barely off and I cannot get the bolt through, same thing happens no matter which side I start with.

....the z k-members are junk......if u have the old LS z k-member your going to need to make new motor mounts so that u can move the motor back about 1-2 inches so the f-body oil pan clears the k-member.....and then the Dynatech headers will clear the steering shaft...

Even the 2nd redesign LS fox z k-members are junk.....guys have to cut the motor mounts off so they can lower the motor and move the motor forward or back....

Racecraft has nice stuff but they made the k-members so you have to use a Pinto style rack......by the time you buy all the parts needed you would be broke...

*GM swap 4130 K-member w/tow hook (3279GM) $574
*LS motor mounts (LSMM) $179
*Pinto rack w/billet rack clamp and hardware (333100-C) $288
*Bumpsteer Kit short length for pinto rack (333203) $119
*Pro Series Steering Shaft Kit (333143) $282

AJE LS k-member and AJE trans cross member for the win......the last 3 that i have installed has been excellent.....and Kooks,, Dynatech and Headmans headers will clear the steering shaft........not 100% sure about the Headman headers tho....

What did you order ??

If you ordered the LS fox body z k-member and you use a th350 trans you might be ok ?? and the Dynatech Headers should clear the steering shaft.....

If your going to use a 4l60 or a t56 they won't fit unless you cut the motor mounts off so you can lower the motor....but if you lower the motor then the Dynatech Headers will not clear the steering shaft....

Upon having the motor basically in place minus the headache of bolting it, it seems like the motor does not sit high like others have said with the older team Z K member, I bought this K member about 5 months ago so i'm sure it's the new revised version, also I don't see any reason i'd need to move the motor forward/back at all. I'm going to be running a turbo set up with truck manifolds flipped forward, so header clearance doesnt matter to me.

Update

Finally got the motor bolted in for good, had to widen the passenger side mount holes just large enough to bang the bolt through. I also finally ordered a few small things dipstick tube, dipstick, and also a 160* thermostat.

My attention is now on the fuel system, I was dead set on just sumping the factory tank and running a magnafuel pump but I'm now debating going with a warlboro in the stock tank and a Bosch 044 inline? Really don't want a fuel cell in the trunk, and I'm seeing problems as far as locating the pump with the factory sumped tank. Any advice?

Did you install the trans yet and if so what did you use and did you have any trouble with it lining up ?
