LS3 intake to L96 truck engine?

Default LS3 intake to L96 truck engine?

OK here's what I located.
'10 L96 6.0 dropout (harness, ecu, pedal) with 30K
LS3 intake with injectors and rails.

Before I pull the trigger, what will I need to make that intake work on that engine?

This is going into a '69 Camaro.

You will need the LS3 intake bolts. Some say new intake gaskets. The L96 TB should bolt up.

If this engine had DoD, you will need to deal with that…DIfferent oil pan. Possibly different accessories. flywheel if you want a manual trans. I am missing a ton of stuff…

So the TB, harness, and ECU will work with the LS3 intake without any modifications?
Reflash the ECU though, right?
I'm keeping the 700R that's in the car.
What is DoD and how do I tell if it's got it?

l96 is an ly6 with flexfuel injectors ,50 pounders , killer engine

Thats a mistake. Your gonna blend it up. Killed two well built 700Rs with a cam only 5.3 before I put an 80e behind it.

The truck harness injector connectors will plug into the LS3 injectors. You do not need to change anything on the harness except maybe the MAP sensor depending on if you adapt the truck sensor to the car intake, or use the car sensor which would require swapping the plug.

As mentioned, make sure the intake comes with injectors, rails, bolts and o-rings (they're not really gaskets). The truck TB will bolt up to the car intake.

As far as the MAP sensor is concerned, either one will work? Aside from swapping the plug (car MAP to truck harness) or making the truck one fit the car intake.

So it would go something like this;
-Swap intake
-Swap TB
-Swap MAP plug on harness
-Plug in harness
-Re-map ECU
-Burn rubber

The 700r4 will be a problem. Difficult to hook up a TV cable to the DBW TB.
You're better off with a newer electronic trans.

I'm not concerned with the trans just yet. I'll jump off that bridge when I get to it. I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row as far as electronics are concerned for the engine so I can avoid as much drama as possible.

I know the devil is in the details and I'm trying to plan ahead as much as I can.

The DBW and TV cable is somewhat more than a detail, especially with a 58x reluctor motor. Do a search now and you'll save a lot of money and time later.

Like I said, one thing at a time and as little drama as possible.
If it comes down to it I'll probably swap out the trans too just to keep it simple.

While we're on the subject, what auto trans should I be looking for?
I don't want to have to cut up my floor if I can avoid it.

I've done the older trans to LSX engine swap. It is actually way less drama mechanically and electronically just to bolt up and plug in the trans that came from the factory behind whatever engine you're using.

to be honest the motor mounts are solid, but the set the engine to far forward and a little too low. I ordered their LT swap kit with headers. The transmission crossmember worked well with minor cutting on the edges. I wished I didn’t buy their headers, great fit but damn thing rusted too fast. I am looking to order stainless steel full headers from ARH American racing headers. Top notch products

I have an L96 with 4L80 going into 67 Impala and am looking to swap to LS3 intake and reuse the throttle body like you did--so thank you for the info. What AC BRACKET AND ALTERNATOR BRACKET did you use? I like the stock solid bracket over the billet stuff.
