Those are the same seats I have in my Juke! Different color scheme though. Best seats ever. Super comfortable too. Good choice with them. Hope you arent a big person cause they are super narrow. Love the build too. Waiting for the running video....

Wow that's funny. Just looked it up and it is the same seat. They fit me pretty well but any bigger and I wouldn't be fitting.

They're mid sized for aftermarket sport seats I'd say.

Yea saw that pic when I did quick research.

I love them and they were top of my list. They're just damn expensive. Luckily found a set second hand so paid half price. Still nearly $2k in seats.

That is still a good deal. They look to be in new condition as well. Cant beat that. If you decide you dont like them, just let me know!

BTW - Nissan wants $4600 a seat... no thanks

These were put in another car for mock and never used.

4600 is about right for a set of leather. Look up sportster cs Recaro. Cloth is 1500. I believe it's 2000-2500 for the leather and nicer covered seats.

Meanwhile:
Got the fenders back on the car as the engine wiring is mostly complete.

Very happy with how well the coiled concealed in the fenders. I can reach them all but it's not fun!

Trimmed the filter close out a bit for the coolant lines to pass through.

Showing off the filter placement a bit. Passenger one was straightened a bit after the pic.

Also got the remote reservoirs for the JRi shocks secured as well. They'll be accessible from the bottom when complete.

This car is just sick. Great job. I like the 2x4 stands you put the wheels on. Need to make a set of those.

I didn't work on the car for the last two weeks after burning myself out on the wiring. Got back on it this weekend, to see if i could finish up the chassis harness integration and test the push button start.

Well this is my first turbo car so was looking over logs and thinking about the wastegate setup and realized, I was thinking about how it worked all wrong! I thought it applied pressure to the bottom with wastegate pressure reference, not bleed it off! With that thought process and realizing 0% duty cycle meant full MAP got to the bottom of the gate, made me realize I had some significant vacuum leaks (no plugs in the other 2 bottom ports).

The ports that got plugged.

My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-ccv6uok.jpg

While the gates were out, and realizing I just dont have enough pump to support my E85 dreams, I pulled the springs and installed an 8.75psi spring (was 10.25psi prior).
My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-efy7oqc.jpg

One thing I learned that was VERY nice, is that it takes about 1hr to pull both gates, swap springs, and put them back on. Could probably be done faster, since this time included putting the plugs in the bottom ports.

With the wiring tidied up as best as it can be in the dash, and the push button wired, i decided to put in the dash to see how it looks.

It looks badass...

Sadly I see that I need to shim the steering column down just a bit more. Still want to figure out a way to recess the racepak into the dash. Also found that i'm missing the tabs for the fasteners for the dash, so it's just sitting in for now to test.

And it works. The illuminated button is the push button start. I do plan to blacken that AC display surround, just haven't done it yet.

My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-w7smpwb.jpg

The buttons on the right control: Lights (worked with racepak dim feature, i tested), Dome light, Holley input, Line Lock.

The buttons beside the racepak are the control functions.

Some issues came about with this work.
#1 - The damn heater hose still leaks in the car. Going to have to pull it again, and try to re-install and solve that before it all comes back out to replace the hose.

#2 - The start button was a bitch. It defeated me today, until i went in, sat on the PC and grabbed a beer to research. I found that my instructions had apparently been updated (online) and it was going into a mode that wasn't clearly explained in the instructions. I got it sorted and the push button works no issues.

#3 - The racepak wasn't displaying with the car on. I hadn't tried to program it prior to starting it so hopefully that's the issue. Well i went to use the USB as directed to program the unit...They didn't send me the latest software so I cant program the IQ3s (street dash). Part of being in the first set of shipments I guess. I'll call tomorrow.

Huge day today.

Got a lot going this weekend. Yesterday a friend came over and we fixed a coolant leak and got the car running more consistently.

Today another friend (Big Bronco) showed and we filled diff with fluid and mounted reservoirs.
My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-ceay6e0.jpg

We then bled the brakes and got it off the stands. Surprised no leaks from this so far. Was expecting a lot.
My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-uiquf3d.jpg

Looks badass back on the ground. Sadly will have to come up a bit as the tires rub.
My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-vv1zxrc.jpg

After that we got it out of the garage so the car could get some fresh air and see how it sounded out of the garage. Sounds awesome. (Giving my best "not bad" Obama face. Not intentional, Big Bronco snapped that from the vid.

I bet. When this thread first started I had no idea it would be "over the top" GREAT JOB and vision

I'd be so weary of someone stealling your prize and joy. Where do you plan on taking it to be chassis dynoed?

Not sure yet. Looking for local loaded Dyno to tune in the wastegate. I hope to be involved in the tuning and this car shouldn't be left anywhere without me.

I'm super paranoid of it getting stolen also. Few measures are being put into place to keep thag from happening.

Wow, looks amazing and sounds awesome.

How much did you have to raise it to not rub?
The stance is perfect.
