Default sleeper build help

hello, I have a 1968 Camaro with a lq4 going into it. im being told I need 3in exhaust with the power im having and I want it to be a sleeper. so im thinking go from my headers to a x pipe to cut outs to some sleeper mufflers. all 3 in. but I cant find any mufflers that are restrictive enough. the motor is going to have ls3 heads and intake and a tick performance cam. I hope ill have about 550-600 at the motor. just want something that is quiet so I can trick people. so any inputs on mufflers?

Headers to a Magnaflow X muffler, then two more magnaflows flanking the fuel cell if you can fit them. If not, some sort of bullet mufflers.

What about 3" x To cutouts then drop to 2.25 factory style mufflers back. Then you just open them up when you want to play. if you need it even quieter, mount a second gen transverse muffler between gas tank and diff.

+1, you're not gonna get much quieter or cheaper than a stock muffler.

Does it work? It's a high flow muffler. It's definitely not the quietest muffler, but it's mainly intended to be part of a series of mufflers as a resonator would from a modern factory setup.

Haha, I would definitely not recommend straight pipes, especially after an X. From my experience, the X causes a good bit of turbulence and makes the note raspy. Sounds nasty at WOT, but during lighter acceleration it sounds bad.

If you're looking to have a "ripper" every once in a while, but be able to control volume when desired, then the cutout suggestions above would be the best method.

After thinking about it more, I think a setup like this would be better suited:

In addition, you could add slender resonators or bullets in the straight sections.

could I just put some spintechs on then? I have a big cam so I don't think I should quiet it own. I think im just going to let it flow. I just want a cross pipe to even out the flow then some mufflers. my co worker has spintechs on a 408 build and it sounds nasty
