Default Blazer swap

I got started on my 85 Blazer swap today. It's getting an 04 5.3, 4L60E, and NP241 transfer case. Me and my son tore it apart in just over 5 hours but it will probably take me 2 weeks to put it back together. I have a lot of cleaning, painting, and wiring changes to work on. The motor/tranny/harness is ready to go in as soon as I get mount adapters. They will be here sometime this week. I still need to order my a/c relocation mounts.

It is. I picked it up in Russellville and it has no rust. I did have to do some interior work. The carpet and seats were junk. I used seats and console from an 05 Silverado. My mount adapters came in yesterday so maybe this weekend I'll get the motor set back in it.

I wonder if you could use the dash from a never truck, make the gauges work alot easier.

The gauges will work fine as it is. I'll cut and thread a factory temp sender so the gauge will work as it should. I already have the oil pressure sender on the motor.

I got the motor and tranny stuck in yesterday. It looks like the 1" set back mounts may cause the tranny mount to miss alignment by about 1/2". That will be an easy fix. I really should get a new inner fender for the passenger side. Mine is bent from the previous owner having a wreck.

I will keep the stock manifolds if they clear the frame rails.

Not sure if the Blazer and a truck has the same frame, but on a truck it's not going to happen. The 2010-up Camaro Manifolds are really tight to the block and are the best bang for the buck in cases like this.

I am doing a swap on a 76 swb truck. I found that the stock truck manifolds would not fit due to the flanges. I ended up getting trailblazer as manifolds for a steal. Maybe you can cut the flange and weld on v-band clamps?

How much did the stock manifolds like clearing?

The stock manifolds hit on the frame by a good half inch. The trailblazer manifolds clear by at least a half inch in the tightest area. My main trouble spot was the passenger rear area.
