Default LS1 Harness Question/FD Build

I'm currently going through a ls1 swap into my FD RX7. I recently purchased a ls1 from a 1999 Corvette. The motor came with the wiring harness and ecu but what I'm curious about is if the harness will hook up to a t56 properly. If I remember correctly the 1999 vettes came with a different transmission so that's the reason I'm unclear about if the harness will work with it or not. I was also told that I may have to go with a F body harness to work with the t56 but I'm worried that if I go that route I would have to change all the sensors out because they may not correct for whatever reason. Another question I have is will the f body harness hook up to the vette ecu or vise versa? All replys are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

As long as you are kreping dbw you can use the vette harness. Just have the t56 wiring added when you rework the harness.

So if i dont want to keep the drive by wire and use a cable instead does that mean i have to get the f body harness? will the f body harness work with the vette ecu or will i need to get the f body ecu as well? And if i go with the f body harness will all i have to change the sensors as well? thanks for your help!

If you don't want to keep the DBW you can mod the harness for DBC. You'll need to add the TPS and IAC wires. The Vette PCM will work, just have it tuned with an F Body tune and final tune from there. The sensors should be the same with the exception of the TB stuff.

As long as you add whatever wires you need, you can tune for it.

You can even use the throttle body wires that are already in the harness as long as you remember to move them on the PCM connectors to where the tps and iac wires need to be.
