radiator/fan installation
The latest progress on the Holley Monte Carlo SS reassembly is the installation of the radiator and fans and the battery and electrical work you can see off to the side in this image. We are putting this car together as a development vehicle to be able to test existing and future new products, so some things you'll see along the way may not be indicative of what you'd see in a typical one-off build.

The radiator/fan set-up was sourced as a package from CSR. I'm waiting to hear back from the supplier of the crossmember on an ETA...the news comes through our purchasing dept. so the indirect path of the info slows the delivery. I'll stay on it for you guys and give you a report as soon as I hear something.

We're down to the wire now and most everything has moved past my ability to have an impact on the speed of release, so that's a good thing. Glad to help with the pics, I know ideas are helpful for those just diving in to such a swap.

Toddoky, what plans do you have for the Cold Air Intake? I see you have the battery on the passenger side so I assume you will be running the C.A.I. over to the drivers side behind the headlights. My question is will this be in an enclosed box? It would be nice if Holley could design one for these "G" body cars and market it to the general public. Rich

Hey guys, I'm taking some vacation time off of work this week to work on personal projects at home and so won't be providing any new updates to this thread until I return to work on Monday. I've got a Chevy squarebody truck that needs some attention, so I'm off to the garage.

That's correct, the part numbers for the stainless long-tubes will be 2332-7HKR for the 1-3/4" version and 2333-7HKR for the 1-7/8" version. If you opt for the stainless versions of the headers, this image depicts what you'll be receiving. This is the first stainless set that I built in the fixtures before they were shipped out of here last week. This set will be used for application photography and then be put on the Holley show/event truck for display purposes.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not throwing rocks, just curious.
BTW, Summit has the crossmember listed. I've ordered one already, and they say it will ship Dec 2. I'll post up when it arrives.

A question about the stainless headers pictured. The flanges don't seem to be the investment cast units featured on Holley's other LS swap headers, and the collectors look kind of rough. Is this how the production units will actually be?

The set of headers shown in the image is one that I assembled here in the shop to perform the final fitment validation of the headers in the car and the welding fixtures. The collectors I used were out-of-spec pieces that we use up here for such projects and are typically not quite as attractive as production pieces.

What's the part number on the x member?
And Todd, updates on the header release?

Not cheap...wonder if they will be worth it over my 1-3/4 pacesetters that I worked over with a hammer to fit...Kind of wish they were 2" or 2" into 1-7/8"...

So what type of adapters does the cross member use for the different trans's and do they come with it? I would like to see some detailed pics of the cross member out of the car is that possible?
