I'm not sure of the heat. At Forced Induction Tuning, Rob has done over 100 twins coated over the last 5 years with no issues. It's amazing that you can touch the turbo just a few minutes after shutting it down.
Update:
Here are some pics. I have about 100 shake down miles so far with no issues. I have a boost controller that switches from 783rwhp/778rwtq to 965rwhp/931rwtq.
Holy God it's in low boost at all times.
Yes sir. Just tying up all the loose ends. Waiting on my Twist Machine Paddle shifter first...
Meanwhile, we have an R&D 86 regal that we are testing an AWD system on to transfer to this car.
Not liking the Dynomax VT mufflers anymore. It has a little rattle at idle and just off idle due to air volume. Not sure of what mufflers to move to. Just want it nice and quiet when tooling around the streets.

I have always used the Dynomax Super Turbos. They are the queitest thing out there in 3" that still flows some HPs.

Icing on the cake.
You planning on any heat blankets for those turbos? With that exhaust turbine so close to the rear inlet I'd be concerned about IATs and/or melting the adjacent filter.
I have Cerakote on all the hot side and the Turbos are Cerakoted as well. Huge difference. You can touch the turbos a couple minutes after shut down.
Men monitoring the intake temp. on the last dyno pulls with high boost the intake temp was 120. A little over kill on the water to air intercoolers for a safe measure.
I'll look into the Hooker Aerochambers and the Dynomax Super Turbos. I'll keep you posted on the mufflers and start getting videos together. I have one dyno pull on video on low boost. I'll get that posted later today when I get home.
Killer build and I love the gold Cerakote. What color is it exactly?
Take a look at the Magnaflow mufflers. They are very tame at idle and cruising and get pretty loud under load. They make some longer versions too that would make the low load noise even less.
Well, I run on E-85(plentiful here and cheap). We have high boost set at 24lbs.
To be honest. I think low boost set at 12-14lbs and high boost set at 18-20 would be plenty. It's just too much for street use.
