'65 C10 SWB Build

We're going to do a 3/5 drop and 20" TBSS wheels off my buddies TBSS (he's getting the 22's). Should look killer!
More and more parts are showing up for the '65. Pulling the passenger side door off tonight to finish the floor patch.

building an EFI side to the stock tank. Factory hole on the right will still house the factory sending unit.
EFI tanks for these trucks are $600+ without pumps. I'm in this about $50.

Pretty much finished the passenger side in 1 day. Much easier the second time lol. A little grinding to do, then I can paint the floor and put the interior back together.

I can't take the credit, a guy on the 67-72 forums had the idea when his daughter pulled up to his house in her new civic.
The aftermarket seals for these trucks are pretty terrible, so I was pretty happy to find out about these. They're on backorder pretty much throughout the entire country, but was able to find a set a a mom and pops dealership.

2006 coupe
P/N 72315-SVA-A01ZA right
P/N 72355-SVA-A01ZA left
like OP said, they're kinda hard to find. I like to picture this scene in my head.
Honda owner trying to fix some dog damage in his car goes to dealership. Dealer shakes his head and points to a kid in a patina'd and bagged 66SWB loping out of the parking lot. Confusion ensues.

I'm doing a swap like this on a 67 C10. I bought a wrecked 2004 Suburban for $1500.00 with a 5.3 and 4L60E. I'm using a Painless harness for every wire and they flashed the computer for me for free. I bought a rear end from a Oldsmobile Bravada with disk brakes and a posi unit for another $250 and a friend of mine made brackets to install it. It fits like a glove. Only problem is it has 4.75 bolt pattern and the front I installed from an 85 Suburban has 5.00 bolt pattern. Not a real problem. Now I have 4 wheel disk brakes. With the Painless harness even the cruise control works with the electric throttle.

How do those door seals install? Are they pushed on to a flange? Or glued to a flat surface? Or some other retainer mechanism?
I had the same thought (of using some OEM seals from a similar shaped door) for my '51 Ford truck doors after looking at the hollow door seals on my toyota land cruiser. The solid core door seals that are sold aftermarket for the '51 Ford truck make the door almost impossible to close, once installed. I ended up tearing off the seals on one side after having to slam the door so hard the door glass broke. (no I don't have a temper )

I know a lot of people complain about the fuel smell when leaving tanks in these trucks, but I don't really care. I'm going to coat the tank, probably sound deaden on top of that, and run all new filler neck rubber.
Finished putting the pump in, all my Aeromotive fittings showed up. I'm running Fragola -6AN in the Volvo, but since the run is so short in the '65 I'm running the blue Aeromotive -6AN fuel line.

These particular seals won't work on a 63, as the door is different (total length). If you search that thread I believe someone mentioned another seal that will work.
