Also what 64post mentioned above about cutting holes in the floorpan and dropping the cage through to the ground in order to weld the halo works quite well. I have done that many times and have gotten the tubing very flush to the roof while still having plenty of clearance for a TIG torch.

As far as cutting holes in the floor for the cage. On the SN-95 it is easy to cut the roof off because all of the welds are hidden under panels when you put the car back together. It turned out great the cage is right against the head liner.
