I'm the one the whole time that's built this car with the exception on doing the wiring and the roll cage. Funny how someone that had a car built without one dollar spent in labor and got all their parts on dealer pricing wants to take the high road and not say anything.
From the start I'm the one that has done all the body work, body modifications, and paint. I'm the one that built the rear end, along with all the suspension installation and tuning. I also built the engine, in which was MY short block and not the other persons. It was my engine combination along with my tuning. Funny how someone else takes credit for everything else till something goes south, as which in racing things happen.
The person saying they know what happened isn't an engine builder or tuner by any means. This person was at best a front counter boy that you would find at your local auto parts store. The person is afraid to change the oil in a car for the fear of doing something wrong or incorrectly. The person also has never made a pass in this car on motor or on nitrous. Other then driving the car around on the street and purging on people in a typical Honda ricer fashion.
I had assemble the engine, yes I did. What the other person fails to say is, that while he was here I never checked piston to valve clearance. But what he won't/didn't say is he had to run home to his wife while I stayed late to finish the engine and check other things such as PTV, intake port match up and other things. All he knows when he came in the next morning the engine was together and ready to install the car.
If there was such an issue with PTV why is it the car/engine never had an issue on the dyno on motor or on nitrous. Engine made many pulls on the chassis dyno with not one issue. Then I had many hits testing on the streets and then went to the track and had made multiple passes at the track. The high speed limiter was set to 7500 and had been to that point a few times seeing where the car fell off at the track. If there was an issue with ptv it would have surface way earlier.
Again after many passes, I took the car to the no Mercy race for testing after installing the front end limiters to help keep the car off the back bumper. The other person stayed back and I was there at the track without help again. In the process of trying out the new travel limiters, the car on the 2nd pass/launch had an issue. With the limiters being set with low travel, coming of the trans brake and turning the nitrous on ( even tho it was on a progressive controller ) the car went right up in smoke with 0 traction. So it basically was like putting the car in neutral and turning on the nitrous at full throttle with no load on the engine. And anyone that knows about engines knows that when something like this happens valve float comes into play. So even with correct ptv, valve float comes into play and the valve springs lose control of the valve events and things crash into each other. If there was an issue it would have surfaced way before this. Me not being aware that this happened ( Valve float ) and after checking the plugs there was no apparent issues or miss firing of the engine. On the next pass the front end stayed down, with a 1.33 60' and the 1-2 shift being made at 6820 rpm and the 2-3 shift made at 6780 and then the engine cut loose. So if anyone would like to know the other side of the story, there you have it. I'll post up video also..
Interesting "other side of the story".

Built a 5.3 for now. That is why it has cathedrals. Pretty happy so far It is less than a second slower on motor with 100 cubic inches less motor.

I guess in the end I can build my own, motor, tune it, drive it, and change my own oil. Looking back on Mrs Nitrous's drama posts just makes me laugh. I really don't care why the old motor blew up. He left out the part about us been partners, and If you think 1 person built the car by themselves I have beach front property in Arizona to sell you. I wasn't at the track when it blew up because he left a day early and I had to stay behind and dyno a chump car. His posts for the most part are just more disrespect and lies toward me and my family. I would not want anybody to think I am related to the business any more so I am retiring my 10+ year old redline2k screen name.

As for the car it now has a 5.3 with a LJMS cam. I also switch to an MSD 6014 and pump e85. The build thread is here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...5-3-build.html

With the birth of my second child I don't have a lot of free time for the track, but in 12 passes I have it running single digits on a 150 with a conservative tune up.
