The exhaust is done through the mufflers at the rear end, still need to make tailpipes but I am tired of screwing with pipe on my back right now..... Plus my shop was a grinding dust disaster between making the header and exhaust this far, it was driving me nuts and past time to clean up..... So I put the car on the ground and got it outside out of the way, then purged my the shop and car of grinding dust.....
Here's what the exhaust is looking like so far..... Front of car is lowered to ride height and rear is approx. an inch high, there is still some good ground clearence.....
Looking good Frank. What mufflers are you using? They look to have a unique shape.
Andrew
Thanks Andrew..... They are Dynatech Split Flows, and yes they are a different shape..... They are fairly compact, but have a good sound..... QTP has a stainless muffler that looks like a copy of them, but I have not heard them in person, so I stuck with what I know.....
Last week I was able to get an -20an fitting welded on to the inlet for the water pump, and get a 3 deg angle on the carb flange of the intake manifold to get the carb sitting more level in the car..... I also removed the branding from the intake and water pump..... Then I put a hole in the hood the size of the air cleaner sealing flange on top of the carb, It will need to be larger for the air cleaner later but I did it in a couple steps to insure the hole is centered over the carb.....
Did a little more yesterday..... Remove relays and wiring from just behind the core support, also removed the grill and lower valence..... Just need to get the front bumper and stone guard off so I can fit the new larger radiator.....
I got delayed on mine due to my fathers foxbody developing a cowl leak, his daily driver so I had to get it repaired.....Today I was back on my mess, I cut the frame off in front of the k-member because I need to create a little more room up front..... I cleaned the ends of the rails up and capped them, then I made a front lower hoop of sorts..... I got that tacked in place before I leaft today.....
I didn't feel like working on it this morning, seems to be the theme anymore..... I did get a little more done last weekend..... Welded to lower frame in..... I cut out the rest of the front aprons and core support, I did leave a little material on the front of the towers to trim exactly how I want later.....
A little more progress made today..... I bent up a to tube for the top of the core support resembling the shape of the stock support..... I also made some end brackets that bolt to the fenders and cap the end of the tube.....
I go to A LOT of car shows a year and I've owned Chevelles, Camaro's, Novas, Stangs, and other... But a couple of cars that always grab my attention are the Restomod Comet's & Falcon's. There's just something about them thats so bad ***. I've been following your build and it's truly amazing, the time & effort your putting into it is going to give you a final product second to none

Got a little more done this morning..... Fitted and tacked a couple tubes in place along the lip where the fender bolts to the body, also bolted the lower valence in place..... I fit the front hood support/dzus brackets and got it tacked in place.....
Been getting some done the last couple weekends..... The center support for the hood bracket, lower valence, stone guard and grille is made and in..... I also made some filler panels for the stone guard and tacked them in where I clearanced it for the air filter previousely….. Then I made core support tabs and tacked them in for the grill support rods, and shortened the rods so they fit properly in the new core support configuration..... I still need to make the last 2 grill support tabs for the center of the grill(a seen in the last pic)…..
I grind the lettering off as flush as I can then hit the surface with a pin profiler to put texture in it, and then blast with a fairly course bead to blend.....
