This weekend I finished the Nitrous bottle mount and blow down hose install..... Sat I also got the pass side of the interior all cleaned out..... Sun after sorting through all the **** I had scattered at the shop I got the rest of the interior cleaned out, removed the driver side interior quater plastic, stuck the 4 small gauges in the dash holes and figured out where the hell the ECU/Fuse Box/ Relays will mount..... I need to get a couple bracket fabbed up this week in the mornings before work.....

Are you using the Dominator for spark, nitrous, and data logging?

Why isn't it port injected?

I have been working on it, but progress has been kind of slow..... Tail light harness is in and most of the under hood is done..... Under dash and car, not so much......

Here's some of the progress.....

It's been more than a while since I posted anything..... The car is up and running, been drive it around quite a bit..... Much nicer to drive in the summer with ac!!!!! I did finally get it to the track last Sat and i am pretty happy with it considering the torque converter is garbage.....Taking it easy to make sure my tuning is good, I made 3 passes..... All on motor leaving at 3000 off the foot brake, 1st pass with 25 deg total timing it went 7.31@97.28(60ft was only 1.746), 2nd pass with 27 deg total timing went 7.26@97.95(60ft 1.726), and the 3rd with 29 deg total timing went 7.20@98.79(60ft 1.722)..... It seems to like timing, the plugs show it still needing a little more..... The converter is the main problem right now, it feels like it's really loose driving around but only flashes to 38-3900..... It also drops just over 2000 rpm at the shift????? The motor starts making power around 5200, so there is definately a lot leaft on the table..... Made the call earlier in the week and a new PTC should be here in about 2 weeks!!!!!

I might take it back out next weekend just to find the timing sweet spot, and possible try the transbrake after that.....

Here's a couple pic's..... Almost forgot, I will be running Sick Week in Feb.....

I just got real lazy with posting anything anywhere for a while..... Thanks, it seems to be making good power and a good working converter should bring it around..... Then maybe we can see where the spray takes it.....

Zephyr only went 7.60's @ 87-88mph with a 1.57-58 60ft. You have 6's N/A in reach. Should really come alive with spray!

I think a original hood scoop for that car will clear the air cleaner. I had one on my 72 Comet.

http://mmb.maverick.to/proxy.php?ima...5cdf97ce46daa1

It was factory on the GT option, and the GT option was only hood Scoop and stripes and could get gotten even on the six cylinder.
And the scoop was just for looks, had a block off plate a little inward to keep it from fully catching air for no reason.

Quick Reply: 72 Comet with a turbo/LS 5.3 in it's future.....
