Progress looks good man. Any progress is better than none. Don't get down or frustrated. You'll get it done, and when you do, you'll be happy and have a bad *** ride to boot. Is there anyway to trim the center console withoit it looking bad?

Unfortunately no, it'll look like a hack job without a doubt. But I bought a stock boot to hide whatever the shifter will end up looking like haha

Did you happen to see if the vic jr with elbow/TB will clear your hood? I have an 02 that I'm looking to do a swap in and Im trying to figure out what intake I might be able to run. I was considering the vic jr and elbow or a high ram.

Just confirming that your hood is in fact the cobra r style hood with the 3" cowl?

It clears my hood by a couple inches. It's an R hood, the actual cowl measurement I couldn't tell you but I'd say it's a 3-4". I also know it clears a high ram as well. Which I may go with instead.

Sorry to get off topic, is this the one you're referring to:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/kaenen-95hood-9904.html

Build looks great! Did you happen to keep the AC?

I would imagine that's the hood, mine is probably the nicest fiberglass hood I've ever seen in person. I wish I knew the brand, but I've heard that the Kaenen's are very nice pieces.
And yes, will retain AC

Did you end up using the ford condenser or the LS? Mind elaborating on the wiring/control?

I'm using all the factory ford stuff. Compressor is ford, and using an adapter bracket to mount it to the motor. Engaging and clutch will be controlled with the Holley. Unless I can find a way to keep that controlled by the factory harness. The cobra engine harness/Ecu is not with the car so that may not be possible.

Do you happen to have any idea as to how much your car weighs with the LS in it?

As of now, I have no idea. Will be weighed once it's drivable.

Cervini hood maybe? Did you ever figure out what you're going to do for hydraulic clutch operation?

Considering all the issues the Fbody hydraulics have I'll probably opt for the McLeod kit when I get there.

Did a little brainstorming at home tonight and think I've got a way to keep the fast intake, just needed to get away from the car to think clearly I guess haha

Dude, one of the most talked about Mustangs ever and you're putting an LS into it? That's just... ******* awesome. That kind of swap BEGS for a 1000+hp motor and just imagine the reaction from the Ford loyalists!

Someone took some pictures from this thread and started posting them on Facebook pages. It definitely got mixed reviews and some colorful names for me. Doesn't bother me that it gets the Internet warriors spun up but it's definitely not the purpose of the car

After seeing 8 out of 10 Mustangs being under LSx power, you'd think them Ferd boys would be used to it.

isn't it fun cutting up a cobra? i had a customer that bought a 04 cobra roller for cheap, had 18k original miles, i put a 6.2/t56 setup in it. cutting the rear part of the shifter hole was a cool feeling haha. he ended up parting the 6.2 out and it has a termi swap back in it n
