Update:

Car is finally a roller! Honestly, I am very happy with the amount of progress I was able to achieve in just 5 short months.

Thursday I installed the front brakes and the rear springs. A friend of mine loaned me a set of wheels to get the car rolling.

I purchased a 13" Baer 4 Track kit. It came with the rotors, complete calipers with pads, stainless steel lines and all the necessary hardware. Total cost of the brake kit was around $1300. Not too bad for a 4 piston setup.

I would have been perfectly fine with some vented blank rotors, hopefully they won't fail too quick. Apparently drilled rotors are known to crack after hard abuse.

The rear was finished off with Eibach progressive springs from a 2004 cobra. The IRS in the car is around 80lbs heavier than the traditional solid rear so a heavier spring was needed. I forget the actual specs but i believe the range was from 510-700lbs compressed. Brake lines were ran in the rear, as we utilized the 11" disc brakes from the factory IRS setup. Hawk HPS pads were added.

Here it is as it sits: glass was put in the front and rear, however I still need to figure out something for the quarter windows. The glass is fine, however the window molding is old and cracking. I've read a few tutorials on how to finish them to look new, so I will probably go that route.

That's all for now. This car is heading into storage for a while so I can free up shop space and save for a engine and transmission.

Thanks Brian, I had no idea the color I chose was very similar to the factory dove grey. It looks a lot darker outside in natural light

Haven't really thought about it. Most likely use the stock tank with a 255 - 340lph pump with new line. It will probably be a single line system, thus being returnless. Unless someone can tell me otherwise

You can use a corvette filter which is set at 58 psi and uses a return right back to the gas tank. They make an fittings to make it all work. Very common way to do

I'm not sure that my application and power goals warrant a return setup. I am shooting for 5-550 wheel which should still be suitable for a single line setup.

Yes I am going with fuel injection, along with Holley HP efi.

I am going to purchase a new tank as they are only 110 shipped from American Muscle. Figure it is probably money well spent

http://www.highflowfuel.com/i-719915...1979-1997.html

I bought that setup, makes it easy. The pump alone is about 100-120 range so thats a bargain considering it comes with a new pickup with an fittings. Then you use the corvette filter which is a return and is set internally at 58psi, slide on the an fittings and 1 line to the fuel rail.

Small update. ..

Still collecting parts, which has been fun yet I feel unproductive.

Friday I drove to Jackson MO to pick up a motor. I ended up finding a 2011 6.0 LY6 with factory ls3/l92 heads on it. The motor only has 20k miles on it.

The better flowing square port heads were a big plus for me.....why do you ask? Because I also bought this....

An LSA blower with a ZL1 lid. My buddy and I are both doing very similar swaps. His is going into a 70's C10. Already replaced the spring isolator and now there is zero play on the stock pulley. Grabbed this low mileage blower for 650.

Also bought an 03-04 cobra steering rack and a Maximum Motor sports hybrid steering shaft.

Thanks for looking!

Very slow to update this, as I just bought a house. Who would have thought buying a house would drain the racecar funds?

Anyways, the motor is just about wrapped up. I still need to purchase the LSA front drive (w/AC) and injectors.

Engine Build:
2011 LY6 (6.0L 9.6:1 comp/ ls3 heads)
Ls9 cam (211/230 .558/.552)
Ls9 Head Gaskets
PRC Single Beehive springs w/chromoly 7.4" pushrods
LS3 front timing cover and TSP VVT delete
ARP Head Studs
ARP Rod Bolts
LSA factory crank pulley
CTS-V oil pan

Reusing the factory oil pump.

I still haven't decided on what size pulley to run, but I am leaning towards the 2.4" which will put the boost at roughly 13.5psi

Thanks for looking!
