Little update:

Had a intercooler reservoir tigged and powder coated along with an air intake. We will be using the card style LS3 sensor. Additionally, we tapped the lid for bigger -AN fittings.

No modification was needed. Fit like a glove.

Small update:

Got around to purchasing wheels and tires. I was tired of seeing the same wheels on the foxbodys--- 03-04 cobras, Torq Thrust II, Saleens, ect. So I went a little outside the box, and i couldn't be happier.

The wheels are Enkei NT03 in a silver finish.

Rear: 18x9.5 +40 265/35/18
Front: 18x9.5 +27 255/35/18

The wheels in front cleared the 4 pot Baer calipers just fine.

The wheel fitment was really shot in the dark after reading countess, out of date, Corral.net posts from 2004. Hardest thing was trying to nail an aggressive fitment in the rear with having an IRS and not look "poked" due to the crazy high offset needed to clear the subframe. Most people who did IRS swaps ran a 17" wheel with a 245/40/17....no thanks. Hindsight I could have fit a 275 or even a 285 with little issue. Maybe for the next set.

The fronts were also a "road less traveled" on fitment. It was hard to find any concrete information of people running a 9.5" in front. The ones that did usually ran fender flares- something that I did not want to do. Again, I could have fit a larger tire in front, just had no baseline before I bought tires. I will next round.

Also got the heat exchanger mounted, and lines ran from the blower lid to the reservoir.

the HX pump is your standard OEM variety found on the CTS-V, and can be purchased via Amazon for around $100. (p/n 0392022002).

Also swapped the stock LSA throttle body out for a 90mm LS3. Reason being that the E38 PCM will have issues configuring the pedal to communicate with the lsa body.

That's it for now, should have some more money to throw at it soon.

Chris.

I've been through the same frustration on rear wheel size and offset.

Any pics from the back?

Took the car as a roller down to LSFest last week. My friend purchased a vendor spot and wanted to showcase the work. I definitely got the affirmation I was looking for; a lot of people loved the car - especially the color and wheels.

We also we're able to get the entire interior changed to black, and installed less the seats.

Before the interior was blue... everything. Pretty happy with how everything turned out. Also installed this cool kicker Bluetooth receiver. Just connects to any phone and streams...all I need!

Car is back under the knife right now getting wired. Hopefully soon it's cranking.

The car also got posted on 1320's Instagram page which was cool.

Yeah. It will be powering two tweeters and two door speakers.

Did you have to do anything special to get that Cobra tank into the Fox? My roadracing pals have told me that 1997 and earlier tanks fit, but the 1998+ tanks don't fit the Fox tubs.
