Does anyone know if truck intake will fit under stock hood? I know everyone says it won't fit but just checking to see if anyone has figured a way. If not do I have to get car injectors to go with car intake. I found a salvage yard that has ls1 intake fuel rails, injectors, tb, all front drive accessories, ls1 exhaust manifolds for 1000$. Is that worth it or should try to make brackets and piece stuff together? I just don't want to end up spending that much money pieces it together

Can't answer if it would fit under your hood or not, but I wouldn't pay $1000 for that stuff. I see pull out ls1s complete with all of that including harnesses for $1000 in oklahoma. If it's just an ls1 intake with the fuel rails, injectors, and throttle body it's not worth anymore than $150. Not sure what the front accessories are going for now but I'd imagine less than $500

It may fit. I have seen a 5.3 with truck intake a 67 Camaro. Get out the tape measure and verify. Even if you had clearance issues a cowl hood would be less than the $1000 you would spend on the car intake.

^^^ yep, keep your eyes glued on Craigslist. There's always something that pops up eventually, just keep working with what you can and watch craigslist. When it comes down to needing an intake and you haven't found one yet then I would consider dropping a few hundred on eBay.

You can use the truck accessories under the hood they will fit. Just check out dirty dingo for some mounts and brackets. I swapped all my front accessories to f body before I found dirty dingo stuff or I wouldn't have. As for the intake, I have seen some people fit the truck intake under a 2nd gen hood but not sure what motor mounts they used. Check out my build thread for some other info. Good luck.
P.S.
I know it's got to be hard looking at that engine everyday wanting parts and wanting to work on it! I did it too!
