1970 Chevelle Running lean/fuel starvation under heavy acceleration
6.0 LQ4 in a 70 Chevelle.
Whenever the fuel tank is less than half full - I get fuel starvation when I accelerate hard.. and if it is 1/4 full or below, light acceleration causes fuel starvation
Anything I can do besides buy a crazy expensive sump tank?

I bought a in tank pump module from tanks inc because it eliminates these issues. You just chop a 4 inch hole in your stock unbaffled tank and drop it in. It has a lil tray to keep the pump submerged at all times. They come with Walbro pumps and start at about 235$. You might wanna check them out. Tanks inc pa series pumps.

lots of guys have made later model B Body tanks work in swaps. You'll find a few threads here of how to make it work. I personally used a Tanks Inc tank and it's a great piece if you decide to spend the $ on a completely new setup.

I use a B-Body tank on my Chevelle.. no problems.
I use a TanksINC PA4 intake pump on my Nova.. did a extra notch on top and sump on bottom of the factory tank.. no problems at all. I can even run my tank dry.. (don't ask how I know ! LOL).
