Hello Everyone, i am wiring a 2006 Solstice to a LS3 Engine.
PCM was purchased with engine and harness from Chev dealer parts dept.
The manual that came with the package does not have all the info i need to interface the new PCM with the BCM.
Anyone know how to do this? What tools do i need, i have an OTC Genysis scanner, is there software and cables avail?
Regards,
Ron
ok, done some research and found out if you load a '04 to '07 CTS-V vin into the BCM [body control module] it will talk to the new v-8 pcm you just installed.
I will probably try and get this done within a month. I will keep updating as i go.

Why would you load a CTSV program into the BCM? Wouldn't that render your ABS (which I presume you want to keep) useless, and also possibly the gauge cluster?
My not just flash the e67 ECU that is in the Solstice with the LS3 engine program and connect a wiring harness for the LS3 to the ECU?
What car is the LS3 out of? The Camaro LS3 has the E38 ECM, and I've read on HPtuners to be careful when trying to switch the OS on the E38's. Not sure if the E67 is as picky.
The engine runs fine , but the gauges don't work. The PCM came with the engine from the Chevy dealer [already programmed] . Now the BCM doesn't know what engine is in it because it is looking for a 4 cylinder. That is why i want the BCM flashed to a Cadillac ctsv.
I know this is an old thread. But did you ever get the bcm communicating to the ecu. I am having the same issue. anyone have any ideas. I have tried a couple of different os on the e67. I have not tried changing the vin in the bcm because I'm not sure I can with out reflashing bcm to ctsv bcm os which I don't believe would correctly communicate with the PIM and cluster.
Wondering if YOU got anywhere with your swap setup? I’m the same boat.
i can’t understand why it’s such an issue, since the BCM and the PCM are both used in V8 cars they should be able to be flashed to be used (in my limited understanding)
And he won't get a reply for the same reason I gave you.
ah, them not being here, thanks for looking into that for me. I guess it was a bit silly for me to try and reply to this post instead of just starting a new one.

I guess since those too never returned in failure….. I should post my results. The solstice comes with either the e67 PCM or the e37 pcm. The e67 having 3 connectors and the e37 having 2 ecm connectors.
no one acknowledges the e37 cars, you’ve got to have the e67 cars to do the guys who charge 4k for the harness and ecm flash if you want to keep the stock dash working.
the e37 ecm/harness has the same plugs as the e38 ecm found on ls engines like the g8 and several others. So there are the proper amount of pins to try to do something with that….. i sat down and looked at the pinouts and it’s probably doable. But, if you have the E37 ecm it means your car doesn’t have ABS/cruise control/traction control, so your ONLY trying to do that adventure to keep the stock gauges working and I decided it wasn’t worth the effort for JUST the gauges and I’ll be going standalone harness on mine.
