LT1 to LS1 (the cheapest way possible) Hi, I have a 1995 6sp TA which had a LT1 engine but thanks to a faulty thermometer it fried up. I removed it and bought a LS1 from a 1998 camaro. I thought it would be fairly simple to do the swap and the deal for the engine was very good. My question is: can I use this type (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stock-Locati...-/131535141489) of adapter and if so do I need stock location or x'' setback? As for wiring and exhaust I can sort it out, it really is the engine mounts that are troubling me.

Hooker is also releasing 4th-gen LS swap brackets in the next 30 days that allow you to bolt an LS directly to an LT or 3.4L/3.8L V6 subframe. You have options...the $175 offer from Dennis for the complete LS subframe/steering rack/suspension is a good one assuming the shipping comes in at an affordable price for you.
That is a very good deal. Ls1 brakes are 1" bigger then lt1 brakes. I wish I could of found a deal like that. I ended up spending a great deal more for a aftermarket k-member.

man the shipping would be horrible I live way up in Québec province but that is one interesting deal !
About the Hooker bracket option, I read that the LT1 steering rack will get in the way of the Ls1; do you think the bracket will fix this by positioning the engine in a certain way?

Verdad Gallardo Just got home...I also have the ls motor Mounts for a bit extra...send cell number and I can send pics...my neighbor is going to Canada to pick up his semi trailer....hmmm..not sure when he is leaving....but he has no trailer on way up...
