I used a LS2 intake just by changing the idler. Kept all of the truck accessories. (No AC)

Is there a big difference in an ls1 intake vs ls2, if there is what is the difference, reason i ask because i have an ls1 intake already and it would be great if I don't have to spend on another intake

The problem with the truck water pump and ls1 intake is the water neck on the truck WP hits the throttle body on the ls1 intake. You may be able to twist or bend the water neck to clear or just get a ls1 water pump and the spacers to get the correct depth.

I am using the stock radiator in my 71 cutlass, works fine, never gotten above 180. For fans, i grabbed a junkyard dual fan setup from a ford windstar minivan and it fits like it was made for the application. Dont know if your radiator is the same size as a 68-72 a-body though. Keep at it, you'll love the end results.

well finally got to work on car while I was on vacation got a little further than where I was at b4. I was able 2 slip in motor and Trans in together and mount stock cross member in had to drill couple of holes in frame for cross member but stock mount to 2speed power glide fit like it was factory for 4l80e. pulled out motor/trans to dimple tunnel. Had to dimple less then I thought for Trans mainly on bell housing section made a little more room for trans lines n sensors but have not placed back to fit 2 make sure all is well.

What windage tray are you trying to use? If its the one off the truck, if you read the instructions for the Holley pan they tell you where & how much needs to be cut off the tray, or to buy a f-body tray.

I am trying to use tray off of truck, I did trim where needed b but in front part seems like it's hitting on pan (bottoms out) but that section is the most shallow section. may have to go with f-stop tray. Thanks

You can use the truck tray if you trim it per the instructions, which are available on the Holley website.

Weird, I just did mine last month and after cutting off about the front 1/4 of the tray (per the instructions) my oilpan went right on with no issues.

Are you using the Holley oil pump pick-up tube that comes with the pan?
