1996 firebird lq4 or lq9 swap
Ive got a 1996 firebird with a 3.8. I had a 1998 with an ls1. I love the power from it but i dont like the price. Im thinking about putting a lq4 or lq9 in my car with a t56 behind it. Im wondering what id have to do to make it go good if it was pulled from a truck. I know the manifold and oil pan would need to be swapped but would it need a better cam and if so what would be the best cam kit for it and should i do heads with the cam. Im looking to do a ls6 manifold and headers so i can do a slightly eratic cam but id rather sound over power for that. What do you guys think i should do?

If you can get great deals and are patient then yes it is a option. I have found that in the long run a full Fbody pull out is cheaper and quicker. And yes I have a Lq4 swap in my 93. It took a while to research all the parts and purchase them.
