Flex plate spacing

Im adapting an LC9 flex plate to hook up to a powerglide. I've got the spacer for the converter snout and I'm elongating the mounting holes in the flex plate. There is 3/8ths of an inch between the converter and the flywheel, what is the acceptable method to space this ??

Is that a flat flex or curved?

Flexplate spacing

It's a curved flexplate.

Can't help you, I've got the flat flex and thick bolt in spacer. Ended up with 3/16" clearance...

You need a flexplate spacer behind the flexplate itself. For your situation it needs to be crank - flexplate - spacer.

Yep, that's how I've got it stacked, crank,flexplate and then spacer. I got a GM Performance spacer and new bolts. Not a big deal but hadn't seen the issue commented on.

I used the flat flexplate and spacer on mine, but it should work with the flexplate bolted with the spacer between the converter and flexplate. I had that much of a gap on the summit converter. i had to take up the slack with washers according to the instructions to keep the converter engaged in the pump.
