2002 Mustang GT Build thread Not much to it picked up a decent rust free 2002 Mustang GT with 134k on the clock awhile back and decided I wanted LS power.
What I want to do is.
5.3
TH400
BW s480
Megasquirt gold box
e85
But we will see how that goes.
Ive got the old drivetrain out and sold the engine.
Ordered my swap mounts and abs delete block but thats really about as far as Ive got on it

I have also started a New Edge swap, Mine is a NA 4.8/4l60e. I would say the wiring is the most difficult part. Engine and trans fit pretty well. I was able to use the stock driveshaft with a front yoke from the 4l60e.
Go to alldata.com, get an account for your car, this has all the schematics you need for the Ford side of the swap. If you check my photobucket, I have pics of modifying the stock Ford mounts to fit the LS engine.

I also have a 2001 GT (the gray car) I plan on doing an NA lq4 and 4l80e after the yellow car is done.

What Ford wiring are you using? And that was a clean coupe you had there!

Thanks on the coupe, I am integrating the GM harness into the Ford harness so I will not have to rewire the dash. I am replacing the cluster with a 97 Cobra cluster and repining the pigtails. I removed the CCRM, the Ford EEC, and the wiring to it.

Do you guys know where the headlight harness runs to? I bought my 2000 roush mustang gutted and I don't know where any of the wires go.. I have the harness and it has a green circuit box but can't seem to find out where it goes.
Your best bet is to go to alldata.com, I used them to get my schematic. Its vehicle specific so you know the info is correct.

If I were you I would run all the wire harness' hidden and out of the way. Thats what I did with my car. If you look at my pics all the ford wires are still there but their all ran in the fender wells along with the fuse block.

I would pass, by the time you end up putting that together you're going to be over $1k, I'd probably start with a known good engine, that way you're not getting nickel and dimed on the parts. I would think for that price range, you could find an LQ/6.0L.
