Default Grandmas Camry

Figured i'd share my old 4 door luxury toyota with ya. 1988 cressida, came straight 6 na auto, fully loaded. Lasted that way for a week. Currently have a 5.7 stock bottom end, 6.0 heads with work done, tsp torquer 2 cam and some other stuff with a t56. Its sitting on a fully nissan 240sx suspension and custom subframes for the motor, trans, rear end. No real reason for all this, i just liked these cars and reliability so here we are lol.

Sweet. I wish these kinds of builds would get fully documented as they are happening, instead of "hey, look what I did" kinda thing.

In the 5th pic down the front looks off also. I am sure it is just the camera angle but it almost looks photoshopped.

Very unique and cleanly done. Like the cts-v brakes. That rear tire does look a bit funky.

Awesome build. Reminds me of my high school daily, 86 Maxima SE.

Nice. Some cressida love. Good to see. Why the Nissan suspension, when the cressida has plenty of aftermarket support, as well as compatibility with supra parts.

Cool swap, nonetheless.

My friend in High School had a mint "old lady" Cressida. It couldn't turn tire on dirt. This should be a nice change. Definitely digging this car.

Cressida's get a lot of love from the 2jz and 1uz swap crowd(s). That's why I'm surprised that the OP went through so much effort to make the suspension that he did, when you can find a lot of performance aftermarket specifically for the cressida, and you can use supra stuff for everything else (differential, brakes, etc).

Nissan has a lot more after market parts available. The mx73 84-88 has literally nothing out there, the mx83 88-92 i think has a lot of aftermarket suspension, but nothing is inter changeable. As far as the rear sub frame i probably have 40/50 hours of making the jig, new frame, taking it in and out 5 times squaring it to the car lol. Thanks for the compliments also, and its a fun car, very comfy interior to cruise around.
