Default Are gen4 dbw pedals interchangeble

I have an L96 out of a 2012 silverado 2500hd and the truck accelerator pedal is way to long to easily mount. I was hoping to use the ls3 chevrolet performance pedal that they use with their crate engines (Chevrolet Performance 10379038), because someone already makes a mounting bracket for its use in my chassis (e39 Bmw). Does anyone know how interchangeable the dbw pedals are in gen 4?

Thanks,
Mike

I know the pinout does change and so does the connector on some of the pedals. There also may be some OS compatibility issues between them. I would consult your tuner before you buy anything.

So as long as I wire it properly it should give the correct corresponding voltages from the two position sensors. I believe on goes from 0 to 5v and the other goes 5 to 0v. Thanks for your help.

I have a set up from a 2007 Escalade and used the pedal out of a later Corvette with no problems. I have read where some have switched two wires to make their pedals work. Bottom line is you should be able to make it work.

I know there are issues swapping throttle bodies between OS's but not sure about the pedal.

I've always operated under the assumption that all Gen IV pedals are interchangeable. Just stay away from the GTO stuff and you should be OK.

I would trust the statements above. You also want to confirm that the plug will work. The later stuff started to change. There should be 2 styles. An oval plug and a square plug with the locking slider.

Like others have said, GenIV's are interchangeable.

I switched from a G8 pedal (square plug) to an Impala pedal (oval) and it worked fine. Just make sure you adjust the pin out correctly and that they match, and it'll work just fine.

Oh yeah, G8 is oddball too. If it came from Australia (GTO, G8, maybe others) they have the square plug. American Gen IV have the oval plug.

You can interchange them with either an adapter or changing the pin-out yourself. The plugs are exactly the same, however pins D and F swap when going from truck to vette

Are you able to tell me the wire exchange in the Impala 25830023 & the Monte Carlo 25830024 pedals with Gen IV engines?

Thanks!

Just match the signal wires and reference wires to the correct pin.

G8 pedal

Standard pedal connector (Impala)

anyone who needs a slim short pedal, might wish to look at the van of the same year - my 2007 pedal from a van is really small, and pedal is inline not offset as compared to the same year truck pedal, and I know from experience on two swaps that the pedals at least interchange year to year with a truck pedal for the wiring

by chance do you have diagram of pedal and TB connectors? I need to confirm my wiring is correct.

Do you have any photos of the van gas pedal you were referring to?

I know this is an old thread, but I am looking into switching my '13 truck pedal (gen IV - E38) with a '13 van pedal. the wires (diagrams) appear to be the same, but I have noticed that the "throw" of the pedals are different, the van pedal throw is about 1/2" to WOT as apposed to the truck pedal is about 2" +/- to WOT. I am wondering if the ECM needs to be adjusted for the difference.... or if it "could" be as switching the pedals. I do know the harness ends are different.
