On each of the dual exhausts, I'm running a full length cherry bomb and a glasspack magnaflow muffler. It's really quiet idling once the glasspacks heat up.

Wow, cant believe it!!!! So the trans was a bolt on deal, and what did you use for the axles?

Thanks.

Transmission bolts right up (60 deg gm metric bellhousing pattern)

Axles are custom.

Update:

I've done some work tidying things up in the engine bay, but there is still a lot to be done in there. I also wanted to show more of the car itself to emphasize how stock this thing is actually going to look. I also took a couple videos. Enjoy.

Here's an exhaust video:

Here's a walk-around video with it running:

Thanks!

I shortened/lengthened with sleeves tig welded on and checked to make sure they were true. Welding alloy steel is tricky though, so it might not be super successful. It's mostly to get measurements for real big boy custom axles made up.

I would talk to the Drive Shaft Shop. They did a great job on my axles (joined to a F23 trans) and would highly recommend them. Price wasn't too bad for what you get either.

How do you think the small 34 splines will hold up?

If you are going to sleeve and weld the two together, about 2 minutes. If you get some made, around 500 hp will be the limit. At the same time, I think the trans is going to be the first to let go. They are rated to something like 230 tq.

If you need some stub shafts and axles on the trans side, you can have mine that I used for mock up. Sadly they are brand new...

Thanks! The best part about this car once it's all done will be racing people who don't even know they are racing. It'll surprise some people, that's for sure!

I think I'll give mine a shot and see what happens. At bare minimum I can test all the other systems of the car taking it easy. I think I will end up moving up to grand prix sized hubs (facilitates a bigger shaft and hub spline circle, but still stuck with small 34 spline on the trans end) as well as the more robust suspension with a thickwall box steel subframe. I don't want to invest all that money into custom axles just to replace them in the near future. Right now I'm pretty much banking on the 185 tires never hooking or hopping and if they do.... SNAP.
