So I some exhaust work. I added a crossover pipe between the true duals just to see what the difference would be.

Here's a video comparing them.

If you need some more axles with CVs, just let me know. I still have the 2 I used for mock up on the Bug. One is still pretty long but the other one probably has about an 8" shaft left.

But glad to see it was up and running and driving!

This thing would make a great daily driver once you get the driveline sorted for strength.

What a great build! that exhaust is a little telling though....but with the way it looks I'm sure folks just think the exhaust is rotted thru. In for more videos!!

It's a pretty similar setup to mine, but with ARP hardware and an AiReseach turbski with a fist sized compressor inlet and a water to air intercooler. Oh and a couple hundred more bald eagles under the hood. It should be running around this spring.

Used a GM Getrag manual transmission with a 60 degree bellhousing pattern. It appears that most of them do hold the power. I'd prefer not to say exactly which one I am using, since I don't want to give people a false idea that the trans I am using is "bulletproof".

Ok I l kw you said you didn’t wanna mention which transmission. But would you tell me lol so I would know which one to go for cause as of now the k my one I can figure out is the f40 transmission. I will build up the transmission or pay a shop to do it! Thanks you!

He used the F23 from 2000-2002 J body with the 2.2L engine (non-ecotec).

Did he have to do any modifications for the starter on the ls4

if you use the f40 tranny you will have to modify the tranny to fit the starter on

There is a bolt-on starter bracket that works for the LS4/F40 and LS4/F23 transmission. It places the stock LS4 starter in its stock position, just requires some trimming to the bell-housing case. Google...
