Looking for a new project
I thought I wanted a 911 again so spent months searching for a 993 cabriolet.
Bought an absolutely stunning example with AWD.
Problem - the car was way too easy to drive hard.
Solution - sell it and build something violent that you steer with the throttle.
I found a 1960 Sunbeam Alpine that has had a ton of metal work done, set up to take a V-8, narrowed 9", Mustang II front suspension. Comes with a truck load of new and extra parts.
Problem - No VIN or Serial Number ID, outdated bill of sale.
Who has a project they are not able to complete? I am open to suggestion.

How about a 68' Opel Kadett? 1600 lbs. currently but could be ls swapped and still be under 2000. It has been in my garage for a while and I am just too strapped to start it right now. Very little rust and I have the title.
I am in Tampa, so not too far away. I really want to see this project come to fruition.
I had plans of an ls1 or l33 with a glide to keep it light. My goal was 400 hp and 1900 lbs. Should be a rocket.
Happened to a buddy of mine when discovered the bike he bought had the serial numbers ground off. They gave him a provisional title and said if nothing came up after some period of years it would be his.
I did check with the GA DMV. No VIN, no registration. There is a way to do it, but it would be less painful to drive spike through my ear.
The Opel and the BMW sound interesting, the latest thought is a Z3 with LS1 and T56. Anybody seen a thread with that combo?
My goal is a driver that I can steer with the throttle on twisty roads in the GA "mountains" (hills really from my perspective). Top should go down and I need to be able to pass emissions if the car is 89 or later.
if you want a challenge to drive, a swapped 280z car would have a pretty good pucker factor. I sbc swapped one many years ago and it spanked my bottom a couple times i didnt commit to a corner.

I'm thinking aluminum block LS and T56. The car comes with a 9", just not sure how complete. Right now it is set up for ladder bar, which will change to a 4 bar.
