Car currently has a tired 305/th400 with a Toyota turbo V6 welded diff, and I will begin my swap within the next two months. Suspension will be swapped out for adjustable coilovers at all four corners with 225/60/15's and ZG style flares all around. The plan is to get around 300ft-lbs at the rear wheels with an early (99-00) 5.3 mated to my th400 and run it all through a 1999 ford explorer 8.8 rear end. I've been reading that the early year ls series has a 4/10" longer crank flange and would not need a flexplate adapter or spacers to mate up to the 400. I will be eliminating powersteering as well as AC and run it as a daily driver

Only the 6.0 has the longer crank flange,lots of info here on the various combos of converter,spacer, flywheel and bolts to hook up that TH400,should be easy enough.
