E38 LH6 5.3 DBW problem
I'm having a interesting issue with my latest swap. First time playing with a standalone e38. My Gas pedal will work perfectly KOEO, when its running i can get WOT if i give it throttle gradually, if i punch it she gets to about 3500rpm then dead pedals. Shut the engine down restart i get my pedal back.
anyone have any comment?
The ECM and the pedal are from the same donor.
Im assuming its related to torqe management or somthing. No DTC's or anything
Kind of puzzled here
Its the factory base Tune with Vats patch 1&2 enabled, Starter Checks disabled, Evap and rear O2 DTC's set to no error reported, set to manual trans with clutch pedal interlock disabled.
Edit: The Tach signal is also set to Crank for my Tach

I've had a similar problem on an E38 based truck swap several years ago. I fubared something in Torque management and it would kill the pedal at seemingly random / awkward times.
In looking at your calibrations, I noticed you had some torque management settings changed from factory on your final tune. I would move these all back to factory as a test. I also noticed you have "Oil Starvation" set to "Enabled" in the final. This may be your problem as it is disabled in the original calibration. I'm not sure the logic that puts the PCM in this mode, but I thought that was something I changed and had problems with.
If that works and you feel the need to keep them disabled, try one at a time to see which one causes you grief. If you aren't using a PCM controlled transmission or BCM and anti-lock brakes, the torque management doesn't have the same impact. It still works, but it's only an engine limiter and not a transmission / driveline limiter as well.
this is the Tune that Go's along with the Scanner log,

btw thanks much for your time!
