Default t 6060 trans mods needed for a LS3 69 camaro

I have a 2012 donor camaro LS3 t 6060 that im putting in my 69 camaro. I want the shifter to be in the stock 69 location. I hear I have to put a T56 tail on the t 6060 but some machining is required. Can someone give me some details on all that is required to do this please?

You still need to modify the stock shifter opening on the trans tunnel. Core shifter makes a kit that mounts to the top access cover hole, and eliminate the remote shifter on the TR6060.

Regarding the driveshaft, the driveshaft shop makes an adapter/CV joint that bolts to the flange, or get a Sonax u-joint adapter.

I'll call D&D. I didn't see much for a 69 Camaro swap but i'm sure they have or know what to do. I did see a not on there that said the console would have to be modified and I'm not wanting to do that. There has to be a way to get that shifter in that factory location.
I'd like to get my trans done first so I can make a trans mount and get the pinion angle set. I'm sure the LS3 and trans will be in an out a few times before I get everything how I want it.

I was wondering if there would be a problem using a CV on one end and a U joint on the other. Is it still the standard 3 deg. standard?

Thanks for all the data Rick and 1964SS. I never imagined all this information would be out there.

It shouldn't be a problem. Plenty of people have done it. This guy's thread is a perfect example of a TR6060 swap.

Personally I would not want to do the D&D magnum conversion due to the cost/time involved.
