LS3 steam vent routing Anyone bend tube to run their steam vent from radiator to steam tube on engine ?? I have the Entropy radiator with the steam vent drilled. I was thinking of bending some SS line instead of rubber hose.
Just keep in mind -- depending on how the engine is mounted -- the engine usually moves a bit and the radiator doesn't. So a hard connection between one thing that moves and another thing that doesn't usually causes problems. I just used coolant hose and tee'd the steam fitting to the coolant hose between my reservoir and the radiator.

Just to over-generalize a bit, there should be NOTHING rigid between the engine/tranny and the rest of the car. Even with solid mounts, all cables, hoses, wire conduit, etc. should flex. Even the driveshaft telescopes and has U-joints in it. lol

Thanks guys, the final connection to the steam tube on the engine side would be a hose, maybe 4 inches long. Just to clarify, the majority of this line would be SS. I was thinking it would make for a cleaner install.
